So many red flags -- the stains & burns everywhere, the toothbrush on the floor of the bathroom, the lack of toilet paper, the red liquid in the fridge, & the persistent smell of ammonia. This is not a nice place.

I've stayed in a lot of cheap motels, and this is the one that has convinced me it's not worth it. Two nights, no sleep. Noisy. Trash. Dirty. Strange, loud noises all night from adjoining rooms and the parking lot. Dirty towels. No bed made. I guess I was being stupid to stay the 2nd night, but I had pre-paid. Stupid mistake. Yuck, is the best I can say.

I had to wait outside for about 5 minutes before someone came to check me in. The property is filthy. The fridge in the room doesn't work, the tray under the freezer compartment is full of moldy water. The floor in the room is sticky. The toilet ran all night. People wandering around the property all the time. We have traveled a lot both in the US and abroad and this is the worst place we've stayed in.

Awful don't waste your money
I reserved a room at this Motel on hotels.com I get to the motel at 11:30pm and they tell me that they don't even want to rent a room out because they're being inspected for code violations, a tweaker knocked on my door at 4:00am for someone who used to live there and did not want to go away also people were spackling the building in the middle of the night. This was one of the worst experiences ive had at a motel!

This place needs off Expedia. It need condemned it's so bad. We wasted 80$ and just got another hotel. It's so disgusting I wouldn't never have even used the shower. Had dead cockroaches, stained sheets n blankets, no lights outside, hookers, lots of tweekers and no lock on room door.

The physical location was okay, but lots of sketchy looking people. The new manager said she kicked out drug dealers recently. It was easily the worst place I have ever stayed in. The new manager seems to be making a strong effort to clean it up and was very helpful so maybe in 6 months this will be a decent place.

Druggie homeless prostitute hangout
If you have low to zero standards, this is the place for you. If you are an anti masker anti CDC protocol, this is the place for you. If you enjoy a view of garbage, drug addicts and homeless you've hit the jackpot with this place.

The property sits hard alongside a main thoroughfare in and out of Ereaka California. It is noisy made worse during my stay by roadwork being done overnight. The resurfacing noise sounded just like a car with giant subwoofers blasting into the wee hours.
There was not a single trash an in the room which might have explained the water flooding from another room downstairs given that the toilet was the only place to discard things.

The staff was really nice and friendly! We originally could only book at 2 bed room but they let us switch over to a one bed room without any exyra charges. Downside was the room was dirty. The bes smelt like old cigarettes and the bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a while.

What a mess!
When we got to this hotel we were told we could not stay due to a plumbing issue. No notice from the hotel or hotels.com. Hotel employee delivering news very stressed and completely unhelpful. 1.5 hours on phone with 8 hotels.com agents who transferred me into on-hold hell for up to 20 minutes at a time then the next person had no idea of the issue despite case numbers being created... ugh. Got a refund plus a compensation from hotels.com znd was luckily able to find alternate accommodation at a very shabby hotel 6 for $150!! but what an unmitigated disaster!

Stained bedding
At check in with my young family, things started to go downhill when the receptionist said that i should "check the room to see if i like it" !!! . It was horrible ... the "non-smoking" room we had reserved reeked of stale smoke and the pillows were stained. The bed was not made up either. We asked for a refund and found another hotel nearby. Very disappointed. I would expect more for a $100... . Moral of the story ? if you are on a budget, Stay with a chain like motel 6 .. at least they have cleanliness standards to adhere to

I got there and learned that my room was being occupied by what sounded a friend of the lady in the front. They placed us in a “temporary room” for her to vacant the room and it never happened. Our temporary room had no functioning shower nor hot water and the property was horrible! At night my child screamed because there was roaches everywhere and the few hours of temporarily being there became until the next day. We tried to go checkout a day before early morning but there was no one in the front for a long time so we decided to risk losing the paid 2nd night. People staying here were fixing mechanical things on there vehicles and people were up all night outside our door. We didn’t sleep as we kept hearing them ask who was in the room we were in. We had asked for non smoking queen bed and ended in a overwhelming smoking room. A very sketchy and disgusting place. Don’t stay anywhere in Eureka the reviews are mostly all the same for the hotels near.

Stay somewhere else
Arrived 30 minutes after check-in for my 2 night stay. Room was not ready and was told I'd need to wait another 30 minutes. Short staffed and no sheets available. 45 minutes later the room still wasn't ready so we went on a walk. Finally got in my room and even though they asked how many would be staying (4) I still had to go to the office to get 2 more towels. None were clean so the opened a new pack and handed me those. I had reserved a room with 2 queen size beds but we were given 2 fulls. Left the next morning to explore the redwoods and when I returned my card didn't work. They only programmed it for 1 day. Went to the office to get that fixed and was greeted by a rooster on the back desk defecating. Finally got into my room to find I had no water. Front desk said it would be on soon. Went to bed and the next morning still had no water. Found several cockroaches. One in the refrigerator and one in the dresser under the TV. Bathroom wall also had some issues, looked like someone peeled the paint off it.
Tub was filthy. I know this is only a 2 star hotel but wow.
Really wished I had taken a picture of the rooster.
Can't make this stuff up. Overall the worst hotel experience I've ever had.

We arrived around 12am. This is not a safe hotel. The room smells so bad and roaches everywhere. Even we paid we can not live there. My kids said they prefer to sleep in the car instead of their beds. We have to leave and find other hotels to live in that night.

No
The staff was very nice and understanding, but that’s about the only good thing I could say about this place. When we first arrived, we were told to check our room and see if we like it before checking in. The room we were given had other people’s bags in it. As this was an immediate red flag, we did not stay here and slept in the car instead. The area was also very sketchy and it, overall, did not seem like a safe place to stay.

Stay anywhere else
The manager cancelled my reservation because they were overbooked and we did not arrive by 6:00 pm, so they gave us the only available room which was a smoking room. The room reeked with smoke. The bathroom was in terrible condition. The window screen was broken so we could not open the window. Apparently there are many seedy people who live at the motel. We had banging on our door several times during the night. We had genuine concern for our safety and the safety of our car. We are washing everything in our bags in case we brought any critters home with us. The supposed pool is closed indefinitely.

Dirty place to stay with roaches... beware!
On our mini vacation to Redwoods we arrived late. First impression was area was sketchy similar to long term motels which was dark untidy. The parking area wasn't well lit as well and hard to find parking since there vehicles loading outside with old stuff or trash. It looked like the property was in the middle of renovations.
The room that was assigned to us had an infestation of small cockroaches in the bedroom as well as the toilet floor and tub. We politely asked for a different room which was a little up updated but the toilet had dirty water and some little cockroaches (dead and alive) on the bed frame, under the tv, and inside the refrigerator.
I wouldn't want my gf and a 4 year old to sleep in those rooms. To our disappointment we had to leave and book another place that night. The staff were pretty helpful by the way. In conclusion, this property should not be up for rent/lodging until the place is cleaned and had and exterminator remove the cockroaches.

This place is in really bad repair. The carpets have horrible stains in them and are ripped in places. The shower has what looked like layers of paint on the floor and was disgusting. The sink hardly worked in the bathroom. When we arrived they offered for us to “look at our room” before we checked in and just as they said this another person came in behind us asking to leave. Decided to give it a chance as it was a one night stay, we were told we should probably move our car because it couldn’t be trusted not to be broken into where we parked (in between the two buildings that belonged to the property). After entering our room we very quickly changed our minds and decided we need to stay somewhere else. I highly caution people not to stay here.
