Wouldn’t come back

Hotel Emeline was okay. Definetly not worth the price. Staff was not that nice or helpful. Check in staff didn’t tell us anything about the hotel (where coffee is etc) and no doorman. Check out staff gave us the wrong receipt for the wrong person.The amenities fees and added fees are ridiculous because there are no amenities. Hallways were very dark and very dirty carpet and sink in the bathroom in our room was dripping. Coffee wasn’t good and should be made fresh in the morning instead of the pods. Our room itself was an adequate size and quiet and the bed was comfortable. Overall, hotel emeline has some nerve charging the prices they do for what you get. I would not stay here again. It was a disappointing experience and had much higher expectations.

Too many issues for the amount we paid.

We have stayed at the Emeline a couple of time and this one wasn't great. We had three of us in the in room and we were given three towels, we had to go and get new towels each day. My daughter slept on the pullout couch and had no blanket which we had to go and ask for. We were woken each day by the other rooms, had no hot water in our shower and couldn't get the upstairs A/C to cool. We woke each day to a 74 degree room and bad sleep. The hotel has become too family friends for young kids as we could hear them all through our walls, running around outside etc. This was in no way a relaxing vacation for us. We will not return

There are better hotels for the price

I won’t stay at this hotel again. For the price point, I expect a lot better. The room was very small and the mattress was awful. Our toilet kept running and maintenance “fixed” it but as soon as it was flushed again it would make the running water sound for hours. We didn’t bother having it “fixed” again as we use a noise machine at night so it was drowned out. The only good thing was the location and the valet service.

Highly Recommended

My best friend stayed at the Emeline during a girl's weekend in Charleston. We plan to return!!! The location was excellent. No more than a 20-minute walk to the best restaurants and attractions. We loved the hotel restaurant/bar and spent several hours lounging on the couches in the courtyard sipping bourbon. Our room was clean and very comfortable. The staff was amazing and very helpful. Cannot say anything negative about this place.

Friends gathering. We have stayed before so we highly recommended the hotel. Had issues with noise Events in courtyard We are early to bed but sadly our room faced the courtyard shud have been notified and given the option to ask for a different room Staff was very nice. Coffee machine did not work on day 2 Our dogs were called out for barking at 5:30 pm but honestly there was sooooo much noise in the hallways doors slamming band music blaring people hollering and talking and laughing. None the less we addressed our dogs immediately. However the neighbors next door decided to have a mariatial spat in the early morning hours We do love the location and the outdoor space is wonderful not sure if my friends will return

Fantastic location in the heart of Charleston

This hotel has a very comfortable and modern vibe with nice amenities. My room upgrade was just excellent. The front desk and housekeeping staff were friendly. The restaurant/bar servers and bell stand employees were having a hard time keeping up with the demands on a busy few days I was there.
