After reading some of the reviews I was a bit skeptical. However, I realized upon arrival that my room was super clean, no musty smell as stated in the reviews. I did not see any bugs, spiders, or critters of any kind. This is a nice peaceful place to stay. Kind of a country feel to it, not overcrowded. I have stayed at other motels in both Bluefield and Princeton and this is by far my choice from now on. Not a 5 star but definitely clean and the beds are very comfortable and I slept well. Me and my friend stayed for 3 nights and never worried for our safety. So give it a try I promise it’s much better than Quality Inn by Choice Hotels.

Stopped in for a quick night while traveling cross country. After check-in we headed to our room, and found the stairway and hallways pitch black - no sense of safety or security, let alone being able to find your way easily. The room itself appeared to be under construction - no TV or coffee maker, missing furniture. Trim pieces around the room were missing but with all the exposed nails still there, and there were paint splatters all over the floor. Oddly enough, the beds were made as if it were ready for guests. I asked the front desk if we were assigned the wrong room, but they weren't sure since housekeeping had marked it as ready. We were reassigned to a handicap accessible room, which was good since you could clearly hear all the expressway traffic from the original room. The accessible room had all the things missing in the original room, but it too had issues - dirty / stained sheets, flat lumpy pillows, bloody mattress cover, and one rather dim lamp intended to marginally illuminate the entire room, etc. If I was handicapped, I would have been disappointed to know that the one dim lamp wasn't reachable from the bed. Finally, I booked and paid for this room on a third party app, but on the credit card used for incidentals, there's a hold for a very specific amount, so hopefully that drops off in a few days. On this trip we were looking for a room for the night in a hurry, but next time we'll likely just use one of our go-to hotels another half hour down the road.

1 yr. Ago i was eager to give this exact room a much higher rating... since that stay this room has done a 180°. Nice patterned berber carpet, is now decent linoleum that appeared clean but unfortunately turned my 3 kids feet and mine solid black for 6 days. The suite, only suite they offer, last yr. Was also staged nicely with nice furnishings, as well as color coordinated walls. Some of the furniture remains, and shoved along walls that are now all white. They have also started long term renting to tennants, which unfortunately made our direct neighbors a couple with an alcoholic husband and a battered wife. My children were exposed to things we have spent 17 years protecting them from. This couple argued 24/7 and he only put his hands on x 1 that we are aware. The staff was good to us and did move the couple to another room. Unfortunately this hotel has changed clientele and we can no longer stay here.
