Charming, delightful, perfect weekend getaway in Palm Springs, CA with Sunday Jazz at Melvyn’s and the most comfortable beds and a quiet heated pool for an evening swim.

Water and sunscreen by the pool were empty nearly the entire trip. Otherwise, great stay!

This place is a slice of old Hollywood glam. Centrally located in a very quiet upscale neighborhood just a few walkable blocks from downtown. Beautiful well kept, shaded grounds and pool, very friendly/helpful staff, and dog friendly too. We stayed for two quick nights mid-week and sadly did not eat at Melvyns, although we've been before, the place/menu looks like it's had a face lift. We'll def come back when we have more time to properly enjoy w/ some cocktails ;)

Fabulous hotel with a dash of history

Absolutely fabulous stay. We had a minor issue with the bed on day one, and the staff was extremely accommodating making sure we were satisfied on my birthday weekend trip. The restaurant is also amazing. Great food and ambiance. The cherry on top is that his hotel is Palm Springs designated historical landmark.

A property tucked away but still part of the city. Maybe not fair to comment since we only had one meal at one of the restaurants on the property. We would definitely return.

We had a wonderful time at the Ingleside Inn. Tony Diaz at the front desk is a delight and made sure my wife and I had a nice stay for my birthday. And he laughs at my jokes!

Laid back luxury and old Hollywood glamour await you at this desert oasis! We loved the beautiful grounds, our room, and attentive service. The location feels discreet and yet is so close to the action - perfect if you (like us) don’t plan on renting a car. We also loved Melvyn’s - a must even if you don’t stay here! We look forward to returning here.
Vasilica, 3-night trip

Staff were very helpful and informative. Room very clean - had a small issue with the room which was sorted very quickly. Melvyn's restaurant was very good including the jazz afternoon on Sundays!

Ingleside Treat!

Our stay at the Ingleside Estate Hotel was absolutely delightful! Nestled in a beautiful, serene part of town, this hidden gem offers the perfect blend of luxury and charm. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the warm and inviting atmosphere. What truly stood out was the outstanding customer service, especially from Dan. He was incredibly helpful, providing us with all the information we needed to make the most of our stay. His attentiveness and knowledge of the area made our experience even more memorable. Ingleside Estate is a must-visit for anyone seeking a peaceful and luxurious retreat!

Shabby chic old school hollywood

Hillary at the desk was amazing. It’s def a shabby chick old school Hollywood vibe in a desert southern gothic. The grounds & rooms could use a little love but is of high quality. A must stay if you love Hollywood hystory.
Michael, 3-night trip

6/10 Good

This property was once. "Crown Jewel" of Palm Springs, now it is, the Cubic Zirconia of the desert. Everything's falling apart and needs tons of TLC
Eric, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

My husband and I stayed here for a cousins' weekend in Feb. This is a beautiful, historic property. We requested a change from our first room and were immediately accommodated. Our new room was large, comfortable and convenient to where we parked our vehicle. The check-in was easy and staff were all helpful. We had breakfast and drinks at Raymond's, the restaurant located at the hotel, and enjoyed them, but no other guests were there for breakfast when we went and service was slow. The pianists who played in the evening were both excellent and the servers were prompt and pleasant. Unfortunately, in Feb. it rained a few days and was too cold outside to use the pool. Also, we had to cross the inner courtyard to arrive at the front desk and restaurant area, because our room was in the back. It was muddy. They should have a solid path.
Kristine, 4-night trip

6/10 Good

The property was more run down than we expected for a nicer hotel - there was blood on the wall by our bed that we had to ask the cleaning staff to come wipe off. There are no outlets by the bed, so you have to charge your phone across the room, and only one small trash can in the bathroom. There’s no towel can by the pool, so some towels are left on chairs making it seem like they’re still taken. Overall, we’ve stayed at better properties in PS for a similar price - this seems to be a hotel that was in its prime 30 years ago but not quite kept up.
Sarah Margaret, 3-night trip

8/10 Very good

The property was beautiful, but the reception area was a bit small. Some of the staff were friendly, others were not. Also when we booked through expedia, we did not know that the rooms were small. This is a must for anyone booking there to check with the Inn, regarding size, because apparently each room is different. We would have gladly chose a suite, if we had known, even though we checked out photos that were not shown well. Dan (front desk) stood out more than all the others, he was kind enough to give us info on where to dine and explore. We enjoyed using the exercise facilities at the Avalon Hotel, and also had breakfast and lunches there. This should have been told at the beginning of our stay. We dined at Spencers (tennis club), Billy Reed's, Elmer's, Bill's pizza (which was amazing), Lulu's. We both found everything expensive, but thoroughly enjoyed the scenery, as we had rented a car. I think maybe our stay was a bit too long at the one place. However it is a great place to walk to downtown, but if you want to shop, a car would be recommended.
Bonnie, 10-night trip

8/10 Very good

Beautiful, classy, 100 year old property. Welcoming staff. We felt right at home. Wonderful pool area. Attention needed to several minor details. Ice is available 24/7 but only by asking at the front desk, and this is not mentioned in the brochure provided. There is no exhaust fan in the bathroom (of our unit). Our room was dark, almost gloomy. It would be very cosy with proper lighting but there was no bright light available and two lights were non-functional. The door to our patio would bind on the sill because its hinges were sagging - an easy fix. The advertised access to the pools and grounds of the sister property turned out to be only through its hotel lobby and upscale restaurant - awkward in flip flops and wet bathing suit. It requires exiting the property and walking half a block. There are no signs marking the way. The valet on duty at the entrance knew nothing of this reciprocal guest access and sent us back to Ingleside, where neither that valet nor hotel staff could direct us. A picturesque, beautiful boutique hotel and an otherwise wonderful stay.
David, 3-night trip
