It’s a place to sleep

Room seemed clean but dated. Bathroom lighting was awful. There was a very strong chemical type of odor in the room. The chlorine in the pool was VERY strong. Everyone who swam seemed to complain about how badly it burned their eyes and some broke out in rashes. I could stay again if I were in a pinch but I definitely feel it was overpriced.

Quite honestly the rooms were fine. But the property itself needed work. The parking lot wasn’t scrapped at all our entire stay in the freezing rain and snow. The venting machines were sold out of everything and stole your money. The room keys never worked after one day (had to get a new key card) every day. Break-fast (if you can call it that) was less than desirable. And who doesn’t accept cash? Cash is king baby! Long story short is it worth $90 a night probably. Just know what you’re getting.

If I could give a zero, I would. Parking lot is barely plowed and not salted, and had a couple inches of ice in several areas. The exterior front entrance appears to be missing signs or exterior materials; looks like something large was ripped off several areas. Gutters are falling down from all the snow and ice. Staff was cordial but not welcoming, and on their phones a lot of the time. Entire property smells of cleaning chemicals and marijuana. There is no inspection certification or notice in the elevator proving that an inspection was done. There is a black substance coming out of the lobby ceiling vents. Inside the room, one of the cards didn't work on the doorlock and then the next day I had to have both cards recalibrated. The solid curtains did not close all the way and left a large gap for outside people to see inside the room. I found hair all over the bedsheets and stains on the box spring bedsheet. Bedroom walls, bathroom sink faucet and bathtub are dirty. Bedroom and bathroom ceiling have stains. The bathtub handle doesn't have grout on one end and so it's easy for water to slid through the interior wall. The blow dryer's filter has dust clogged in it. The internet is incredibly slow during the day, so unable to effectively do work; not a good place to stay if you plan to do business. A set of guests staying at the hotel at the same as me said they found slippers in their bed, slippers they didn't own, indicating the sheets weren't changed before they checked in.

Garbage outside the hotel door was overflowing with frozen trash. Pool out of order, vending machines broken, ice machine broken, bathroom cabinets held together with tape literally, no blackout curtains only sheer so lights in room all night, no privacy from hotel next door. wall paper peeling in the room. Pull out bed had no bedding on it. Requested and they did bring it but I had to make the bed. Several dryer sheets all over the floor. I was in the lobby and the lights flicker and mentioned to the desk girl and her reply was “ yeah I know people keep telling me, nothing I can do”. Overall not good. Breakfast was ok and the pillows were nice.

When I arrived to this comfort inn and suites first thing we noticed the awning was ripped off the building.The outer wall was damaged from the fall of that awning. Ok weather happens so I go to the desk to check in the young girl Harper there when asking for my preference to the room location let me know the pool was unavailable as I asked for a room closest to the pool if possible and that I only booked this room due to the hotel staff I spoke to the day before saying there in fact was a pool at this location!! She called the owner Mike who said he would cancel the room for me . I said to hold off on that for the moment that I would go discuss this with my daughter in the car seeing as it was last minute and I was in a rush to get to another aptmt and we needed a room . The car was just outside the loading and unloading area so I wouldn’t be long and u hair get the correct card she needed anyways to do this cancelation. I go for 2 min come back and I said I’m in such a rush for another event and this is last min well just keep the room . Harper then states she already cancelled the room ! Then when I asked her why she was very snotty and said well you said you were only getting it for the pool . Now mind you I was the ONLY ONE in her area I was the only person who was speaking with her I said hold on with cancelling that room I’ll be right back I’m going out to the car to discuss this as we are in a rush! Still extremely snotty said the pools pipes broke only 2weeks ago!
