We loved the spa, the outdoor pool, the room service, our deluxe room, the1888 Chop Hose restaurant, and the lovely surroundings. The conciege desk staff were very helpful, too.

They don’t treat everyone the same here. I was given a terrible room with a view of tarp and construction material and when I asked they told me “looks like you booked with a 3rd party” Fairmont gold people get treated very well. The elevator was covered with rags and lots of construction equipment everywhere in the building the gave us. Rooms are average and building really old. But boy what a beautiful city and area otherwise. Hotel restaurants were fully booked most nights but lots of good food available in the city.

Absolutely beautiful place! Each and every one of the staff were so kind and accommodating. The service was better than anywhere else we’ve ever stayed, just impeccable! The restaurants were all wonderful and the speak easy bar was such a delight!
