Decent hotel - decent service, but not a five star hotel judging from western standards. The hotel is in the ‘middle of nowhere’, but the entire ha long city seems to be a ghost town. Had we known, we would not have stayed the night, but just gone for a day trip with an evening ride back to Hanoi

Nice hotel. The room was nice and the staff were helpful. View was great as we booked a room with ocean view. Restaurant was average, very limites vegetarian options. Prices were as expected for hotel food. The sound isolation was bad, as we could hear dogs barking, horns from cars and so on. Training room left something to be desired, very limited.

Everything about this beautiful hotel is five star and more. Stayed for two nights and the staff were friendly and so helpful in all our bookings and answering all our questions. The room is spectacular. Well appointed and the pool is just beautiful. The free buffet breakfast was incredible. Wonderful, clean and comfortable 5-star hotel - just like the photos! Great staff, good selection at breakfast and fab facilities. Our room was clean and spacious and housekeeping efficient. Suggest book a corner premium room for a few dollars extra because the views are stunning, especially from the higher floors. Not that central, but taxis are cheap so we would definitely recommend staying here.
