Just checked out today! Mercure Koln West Hotel exceeded my expectations. Front office staff had been precise and helpful arranging room on my request. Room and toilet are clean. Although bedsheet not change but can understand on reducing waste. On breakfast, nice cosy embience and F&B staff are hardworking and friendly. Food are great! Great hotel on the edge of the city, easy to get to from the motorway. An ideal stopping off point the staff were very friendly and helpful. Car parking was easy for a few euros. The dining menu was a little limited, but it was a Sunday night in fairness; regardless the currywurst and chips were good and my son enjoyed his pizza. Breakfast was also excellent.

Friendly people - decent breakfast - the disappointing thing is we booked for 2 adults and 3 kids. One booking. We were put in two rooms a very big distance from each other. So will all our clothes in same luggage this wasn't at all useful. Clearly one booking should be in two rooms next to each other?

I'm afraid we didn't feel safe walking in the area around. Every time we came out of the hotel we were hit with a barrage of smokers. They should have had a smoking area away from the hotel doors. The pool area was also not clean. However, the staff were friendly and we were only there for one night and the bedroom itself, although dated was clean.

hi, We were not explained anything at arrival about the amenities, just given the key and told which floor to go to. The bathroom had some black mold on the silicone joint. I requested 2/3 time if we could have water in the room and I was told this was not done, while my daughter room had two bottles of water sparking and flat. Also, i was not able to find anywhere on your website the price of breakfast For the rest all was fine. Thank you
