As a regular visitor, we normally find the experience excellent, this visit was for my birthday and we found a few things lacking this time.
Check in wasn’t as friendly as usual, we did get there 25 minutes early and felt like we were made to feel like a hindrance, so we were told as we had the VIP lounge on our booking we could just go and sit in there and have a drink and wait, this isn’t the first time we have had VIP lounge but this was the first visit we were told we could use it any time of day, in the past we have been told it opens at 6pm.
On our first day the jacuzzi wasn’t available, our second day the pool and jacuzzi was out of order and with all the work going on with the decking we couldn’t sit outside and enjoy the late September sun, we really feel disappointed with our recent stay and are off the opinion you should give guests advance notice of any planned work or outages.
Overall we didn’t find some of the staff as welcoming and friendly as usual and a few people in the VIP lounge were saying the same things about their stay.
