Relaxing Stay

The pool and breakfast were great. Very friendly staff. Loved exploring the mansion and gardens. Enjoyed our short walk to Shadowfax Winery for an informative wine tasting. We will visit the zoo on our next stay.

Comfortable beds and quiet on a midweek stay. Breakfast could be improved, the food options are limited and not the best quality.

Beautiful gardens surrounding the hotel

6/10 Good

Hotel was okay but badly in need of a refresh. Room blinds very dusty. Carpets old and look shabby. No fan in bathroom. Bathroom light switch in an inconvenient place. Bathroom door didn’t close fully and without a fan was a bit awkward. Breakfast was very good but dinner at hotel restaurant was fancy and not family friendly.

Nice place to stay. Beds are soft and the windows could do with block out blinds

This property was absolutely breathtaking. Interesting, quintessential Australia. Everything you could want from a visit to Australia all in one place. Staff are great, food is good, the scenery is phenomenal, and the nearby open range zoo is a can’t mess experience.

Hotel was fully booked at the time of stay. We paid a premium to stay one night but were put in a room above the spa and sauna which was very noisy up until 10pm. The blinds were broken. Breakfast was not great.

Beautiful heritage building but tired rooms

The building and service were fantastic with possibly the most comfortable mattresses I have ever experienced in a hotel but the rooms weren’t luxurious - quite tiny and in need of a refurbishment to improve cleanliness

We had a wonderful time. The peacefulness of our stay was much needed. We cannot fault any part of the experience. Thank you to all staff.

8/10 Very good

Nice breakfast, great facilities and plenty of things to do nearby. The room was a bit small and we did notice an odd mustysmell in our room and in the snooker room.
Ainslee, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

We stayed her for two nights and the building and grounds around were beautiful and well kept. The rooms were nice and clean and the bed we both found was super comfortable. An easy 10 min walk to the zoo which was good but really busy. The buffet breakfast was good. The only negative was that there was some mice poo on the window ledge behind the coffee machine. Otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found it very relaxing and definitely recommend.

The Mansion Hotel is a lovely hotel in a beautiful location. The staff are very attentive and nothing is too much trouble. This is a historic property but it is beautiful and well kept. Unfortunately the lighting in our room was subpar, two small bedside lamps for a whole room. And sadly, despite being surrounded by beautiful parklands, the view out our window was of two industrial chimneys and a service yard, the lights from which shone through our blinds at night. On the plus side, the spa centre was lovely and we enjoyed our time there.

4/10 Fair

Was not worth it rooms are tiny and uncomfortable over priced for a poor quality room broken tv chipped furniture rock hard bed no bed head on the bed drive way is just dirt so car ended up filthy yet all the other roads in the park are sealed expect the hotels 🤔
Ashley, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

Settled in beautiful gardens, you’ll be able to relax and enjoy some nice walks. Unfortunately half the gardens were closed as they set up for an event. The hotel, however, is completely overpriced for the experience they actually deliver. I arrived and my room was not available, so I had to wait. I was not offer my complementary wine on arrival and had to ask for it myself. The blinds in the room and cheap and don’t block out the light. Pillows and mattress were too soft. The room service was extraordinarily overpriced, with a $6 fee too, for cold fries and a dry burger. The on site cafe is like a roadside convenience store in terms of what they offer. The on site restaurant is expensive for average food. As the breakfast the staff literally sprayed bleach on my table when my food was sitting there. There were no clean towels in the pool area and the virtual assistant doesn’t reply to any of your messages. This is NOT a 5 star experience.
