One elevator in operation (fits 5 maybe) is manned by an operator and you must call the front desk to request an elevator to your floor to exit (10 minute wait 1st time). The rooms are dilapidated, many electrical outlets did not work, wifi was nonexistent (had to use personal phone as hot spot), bathroom amenities were a sample size bar of Dove soap with Dove shampoo and conditioner (trial size containers). Window darkening shade was torn and shoddy. Furniture was badly worn and very dated. Room void or carpeting, exposed breaker panel in wall.

I couldnt see myself staying at this hotel once i got to the compound. It was very dirty and my window look was a dumbster with a homeless man digging in it.

Pros, location, clean room, friendly staff now for the cons, room I got was not big enough for 5 people, beds were full size had to get an air mattress. We had to call front desk every time we needed to use the elevator if we were on the second floor we would have taken the stairs but we were on the fourth floor. Only one laundry room and it’s on the second floor and it only had one washing machine which you had to pay 3.50 for 30 minutes and it had one dryer which was 3.50 for an hour I used them because I needed to not because I wanted too for that price I should have found a laundromat, also no mini fridge which I needed for my medication.Breakfast was ok not that we had any but we did look at what they had. On my next trip to New Haven sorry to say will not be staying here.

Hotel was adequate overall. Hotel and area around felt safe. Floors in the room were somewhat dirty, as well as bathrooms. For a hotel that has been refurbished lately, it was clear all changes were surface level (fresh paint & flooring, some new light fixtures). Some cracks in bathroom tiling and bathtub looked ancient. Staff were often not at front desk, and breakfast started later than stated.

No remote in room, elevator only accessible with an employee, so you had to call to get the elevator to come to your floor. The bed had broken springs. Both people rolled to the middle of the bed, which was a full, not a queen as advertised. Once we got the TV on the service was horrible kept going in and out.

Arrived at 315 for 3 o clock check in . The room wasn’t ready till 345 . The room reeked of smoke even though it was a non smoking room. Asked for another room but no others available with a fridge which we wanted. Staff was friendly enough and they did provide breakfast. Doubt I’d stay at this particular location again. Not the worst hotel I’ve stayed at but far from the best

We booked this hotel to attend a Yale graduation. Upon arrival both elevators were broken. Every guest had to use a dingy set of emergency stairs. Luckily we aren’t disabled. The room was quite bare and sad. Our television remote would not work. One day despite being absent from the room all day, we received no room cleaning, dry towels etc. One afternoon there was some sort of water in the lobby. There was a large amount of yellow caution tape all around the rear entrance. The employees were polite and generally as helpful as the sad conditions allowed. The price of the rooms did not reflect that this is in actuality a cheap, run down facility. Avoid if possible.

I was very disappointed in this property. First thing when a checked in, the front desk agent asked “ do you still want to keep your reservation because our elevator is down, we have availability on the second floor?” I was very confused it was 9:30 pm and I just had a 3 hour drive to attend my daughter’s graduation the next morning. The bed was not comfortable, the tub had a rust stain around the drain and the faucet in the sink was wobbly and extremely stiff to turn on and off. The door has a jam and was very difficult to open and close. The best part of the hotel was the hallways and the breakfast. The hallway was clean and nicely painted. They had a good selection of items to choose from for breakfast. It definitely was not worth the price I paid. I felt like I stayed in sleezy motel. I would not recommend this property.

Let me start off by saying the welcome I received wasn't very welcoming. Then to find out that the elevators were not working. Wouldn't have been a huge issue but, we were put on the 5th floor!!! I'm glad I workout regularly because climbing those stairs was a challenge with our luggage. The room was alright. I'm glad we only had to stay for one night

The room key didn't work on at least four occasions, the lift packed up and I was in 6th floor. Not fun carrying a suitcase down from 6th floor. The guy on reception in the evening was rude and unhelpful - apparently it was my fault that the room key didn't work.

A staff was rude, disrespectful and unprofessional. He belittled me and another customer. He accused a customer of throwing a keycard at him saying he was being disrespectful. The guy apologized but he didn’t care the guy begged him. It is a sad thing when you see an adult man begging for something that should be done because it is his job. Be respectful. He yelled at me”What do you want?” before I got to the desk. The shower was broken, room unclean and the night audit was unprofessional and other customers were speechless. I didn’t tell him about the shower or the room I didn’t want to come out of character if he was rude to me. The morning staff was amazing, helpful and kind. He needs training or he needs to find another job. In my situation I needed to get away for a night to clear my head an escape reality. A hotel in a place I call home was what I needed not added problems. I hope he does better moving forward.
