Didn’t have a King size bed which it said on the booking. Washing machine didn’t work but staff kindly did our washing each day. Other than that loved our stay and will be back

Eclectic industrial with friendly staff

Hotel has industrial and unique interior design. Don’t expect flash. Do expect wonderfully friendly staff and eclectic feel. We were scammed by the airport taxi so be aware to get a taxi taxi. Not people who say they are. The receptionist staff were very helpful with this towards our credit card. Especially Azola. Breakfast was great too. Thank you.

They let you know that the toilet is on a weird pump system. They don’t explain that it will make noise for a solid 5 minutes. This also means all other toilets in surrounding rooms also will make noise. The walls are incredibly thin. The lights were confusing. Couldn’t be shut off from a wall switch. It’s close to being a cool experience but i don’t recommend and would not stay there again.

Shared space building with communal working areas and office spaces make it a weird set up. Lighting in the room was very dim and made it difficult to do things like shave in the bathroom using the mirror. Bed was comfy and breakfast good. Better places to stay in the area tbh.

The staff were incredible and honestly made me feel so welcome. Considering the price, i was a little disappointed, the room had a really bad smell and there was mould growing in the bathroom (particularly on the ceiling and around extractor fan) which was concerning. The location is awesome! Overall a lovely property but the room may need a little TLC.

Highly Recommend!

A wonderful location and even better service made for a terrific stay! The rooms were great sizes, cleaned thoroughly daily, breakfast was quick and tasty, and the staff was quick to answer any and all questions. I really felt at home and at ease for my week long stay!

Looks great but not a good idea to stay there

Upon arrival. The receptionist did not say welcome. Just gave me the key and sent a cleaner to show me the room. I have a bad back and asked for the elevator and was told they don’t have it. I asked the cleaner about info and she just left. Went back to the receptionist and said that he neglected to give me information. He told me all I need to know is in writing in the room. I asked him to tell me verbally about wifi and breakfast times. He told me that breakfast is not included. I’m a gold member and my booking clearly said that breakfast was included. The heating did not work properly and the room was freezing. They sent the maintenance guy three times and he was just making it worse. Finally they gave me a small portable heater big enough to heat a small car. Not a presidential room with tall ceilings. I had work to do but the lighting in the room was very dim. The presidential room comes with a bath tub. But I was told by the cleaners not to use it because the water will flood the room. The staff knew I was unhappy and they did not make any attempt whatsoever to apologize or make it up to me. I stay in hotels a lot and this is by far my worst experience. I will not return nor recommend this hotel to anyone.

I loved The Foundry Hotel! My husband and decided to have a little mini-holiday and love the decor and space. Sadly, a flood in the middle of the night, meant we had to change rooms at 1 am (suitcases open, etc etc). The staff was great about it (and the night receptionist gave us a nice bottle of white wine to say thank you for our understanding), but I haven't heard anything from management about compensating us in any way (although I did ask).
