This is a very basic motel at 5 star hotel prices, toilet seemed on the verge of overflowing, paper thin walls, however, place was clean, close to the beach and the town , staff was nice, but $4xx a night is about 3 times more that it should be.

Rooms were clean and renovated. Staff was not nice at all- no flexibility, they’re all no where to be found when you have a question or concern.

I was a bit disappointed with the property, the room was very musky. Smelling, the rug didn’t feel clean. The Wi-Fi was horrible. we stay in Montauk every year, I would choose a different property next time.

A wonderful relaxing stay in Montauk

We had a wonderful relaxing stay at Sole East. Loved this it was dog friendly. The front desk was super friendly and helpful during our stay. Thomas at the front desk reception is a rock star! We will return again.

Room had human waste on the toilet paper roll upon entry, heater wouldn’t turn on, ac would not blow and upon requesting assistance no one ever responded. Expedia was unable to cancel my reservation and get this refunded due to such unsanitary conditions. Stay clear book elsewhere they couldn’t even provide a clean environment for such an expensive night stay I felt like I got robbed.

Our neighbors held a party from 10:00 PM until 4:00 AM every night, during which the noise was extremely disruptive. When we asked them politely to lower the volume, they disregarded our request. We then called the front desk emergency number, but the person who answered informed us that no one would be coming to the property to address the situation. Needless to say we didn’t sleep at all and cut out stay short

A very nice property, you can hear and see the ocean from the 2nd floor. Property was under construction, so there was no maid services or front desk staff after check in. We are laid back and self reliant but that was an issue. Plus they were very respectful but construction makes noise. Beds were nice and enjoyed the shower. Will give another shot when renovations are complete

I am originally from LA and went for vacation to Hampton. Me and my son had an amazing experience in east sole resort. Great place , fun, absolutely amazing staff. We felt home truly did. The last day I left mg cell in the Uber.I still don’t know how to appraise all the staff care and help for finding mg phone. They all tried to call or locate mg phone I had 3 staff at the same time helping and all of a sudden I had Dave which later I realized he was the owner of the east sole was driving me around the town to fine the Uber so I can get my phone. I still don’t know how to appreciate that. Highly recommended oh and also the food was amazing :)

My room smelled like mildew. My toilet clogged at 11pm and when I called number on the door they said 15 minutes someone would be up. No one came at 830am when I finally thought to call their other property in montauk I got an answering service who said why didn’t you call the hotel number we always answer. I said well the office door has a sign with two phone numbers to call on it so I called them each over 20 times and sent a text and was ignored. She said well you should have called the hotel number I said why would I do that when the sign says if in need of assistance call these two numbers. I was without a working toilet for over 8 hours. Someone finally showed up half hour after the phone call to the other resort. The only thing this place has going for it is the location to town. Other than that never again! I paid a good amount per night to stay here because my friend possibly was going to need to bring her dog. Well I would pay way more a night for a dog sitter before staying at this location again. I come to Montauk multiple times a year and have never been so unhappy in a hotel here. I advise stay anywhere but here.
