A great inn in Edingbrugh. We stay for 3 nights with two rooms. The breakfast is wonderful and the bad is very comfortable. The room is equipped everything we need during our stay. Though no lift to the 2nd floor and 3rd, we still enjoy this small old building. However the street noise can be heard clearly that might put you sleepless whole night, especially over weekend. We could leave lugguages for half day after check out and help make our walking tour on Royal mile easier. Thank you all of staffs there and we entire family really has fun in Scottland.

The hotel is on the Royal Mile, very close to Waverley Station and the Castle. Rooms are clean and well furnished. Many free beverages in room and they offer one free drink at the bar for each guest. There's only 9 bedrooms so it makes people feel special. In short, very nice!

It was a very nice boutique hotel. The food was quite nice and staff very accommodating. The hike up the 3 floors was something we had to get prepared to do each day! Only 3 rooms all the way up there, 2 other floors with 3 each so you can request a lower floor. It is located on the Royal Mile and everything is so close! Great spot for our short 4 day adventure.

The room was spacious including most amenities needed. The breakfast is not a buffet style, but has very good selections and they are delicious. Most nights, the pub has live music, which is a plus. From the room, the view of the city is beautiful, and the hotel is perfectly located; walking distance to major tourist attractions and many restaurants with a variety of cuisines are all at walking distance. Also, there are a few supermarkets and convenient stores (open 24 hours) a few feet away, which is great for travelers.

The room was clean, nicely decorated and cosy. It was in a fantastic location, and really walkable to all main attractions. There was a bar/restaurant downstairs which had a lively atmosphere (and shows sport on a big screen), but the rooms were soundproofed really well and you couldn’t tell if that isn’t your sort of thing. We were able to keep our bags safe at the hotel before check-in and after check-out as well, which was great due to travel times. Would definitely return to this hotel!

We didn't know there would be live music downstairs until 11:30pm, preventing us from getting a good night's sleep on a Friday. Not sure if this is an issue weekday nights- ask the property. Too bad, since room was large, modern, and clean. Had a Nepresso as well as the usual tea kettle, etc., which was nice. Our room had the water closet (toilet) separate from the shower/tub which was nice, but neither had an exhaust fan. There is no lift, but the staff will help bring luggage upstairs. Food in the bar was convenient, fairly priced for being on The Mile, and was good (not great, but good).
