Great Stay for Anniversary Trip

I loved The beach at Divi. Even went to Maho and did not like the rocks in the water … Divis beach was calm water with soft but very soft sand. There was plenty to do and eat. Gizmo the parrot was definitely the best unexpected guest that made the stay even more memorable. I chose The room next to the infinity pool and conveniently across Seabreeze. I would Definitely stay here again on another visit to the island.

The room was smelly and the front desk never answered their phone, nor did the bell desk ever answer. There’s no room service, and some of the staff were rude. The food was great though at the resort, I’ve been to many all inclusive resorts and they had some of the tastiest foods so far in my experience, but I will definitely not be coming back to this resort due to the lack of cleanliness in my room and lack of attention to the guests.

Divi had a few restaurant options, menus were limited and most needed a reservation. Too high priced for what they offered on the menu. Pools were nice and so was the beach. Overall, the staff was unfriendly. Mattress was old and stiff, not comfortable. The sheets were not soft. I asked 3 times for extra towels, they finally showed up on the final evening of our stay. I was charged for someone else's meal, still trying to correct this, as the staff again was not very helpful with this, almost acting like we were trying to get out of a $12 meal. The mini mart was very nice and had a good selection of items. Rental car office was on the property and very easy to reserve a car for the day. Taxi service was always there and waiting which was very helpful. My only request, which was stated several times on my booking, was not a ground floor room, but we got a ground floor room anyway. The staff is my biggest complaint, just seemed annoyed with guests and did not care about quick service or requests.

The grounds were really nice. Have your walking shoes in case you are further from the common area of the resort. The room was descent. It was clean however the grout in the tile floor are very dirty and need to be scrubbed. The entire AC unit died. Though they did go out of the way to accommodate me it was hot and inconvenient. They will walk around and ask you to show your wrist band. Otherwise, the staff was friendly and the grounds were well kept.

My wife can't say enough about our stay. Granted it was off-season, but we prefer a quiter, less populated experience so less people around suited us. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food and restaurant choices were excellent. A Dollar/Thrifty car rental hut on premises was a huge perk and so simple to use. The Aquamania hut is also great for snorkeling, kayaking, and other water activities on site. Beautiful property. We would definitely return.

Our family of 4 had a great stay at Divi. The property was spacious, the beaches were beautiful, the staff was wonderful, the food was great. All around we would stay here again. It was easy to drive to / from town. Walking into town would be challenging due to hills and narrow streets, however there were always plenty of taxis at the hotel. We rented a car for the week, parking / driving was easy, be sure have cell phone access for GPS.

Honestly one of the best places I've ever stayed at and I've been around the world alot and traveled alot for decades! We stayed here 6 days and loved every second! Great smooth sandy beaches, clear blue water, good food and drinks & several choices for food options too. Super chill and relaxing spot. Nice crew working there as well! Dont listen to the nit-pickey negative reviews on here, this place is top notch & I've told several friends to come here as well! :)
