We arrived on Friday and left Sunday. The staff was excellent. Very friendly and we received everything we asked for. The room, elevator ( which only one was working), and walkways were not very well kept. The room we stayed in(419) smelled like dirt. The toilets were the height you would find in an elementary school. Previous stays at a Clarion were great, this one not so great. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and we had a great time on the island, but we will not stay at this location again.

We stayed at Clarion Pointe Galveston and had a mix of positives and frustrations. The location was great, parking was convenient, breakfast was very good, the waffle makers were fun, the coffee was excellent, and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. Unfortunately, cleanliness was a major issue. The floors in our room, both hard floors and carpet, were extremely dirty. Our feet and socks kept getting filthy, and we ended up wiping the floors ourselves with towels. We also saw messes in the walkways that were not cleaned up promptly. The stairwells were dirty, and one elevator was out of order. We appreciated that the hotel offers a laundromat, but it was not very user-friendly. There is no change machine or detergent dispenser, and the machines only take quarters, which was never explained. I had to make multiple trips to the front desk, and one dryer was out of order. Communication needs improvement. We were never told about the outdoor shower, which would have helped a lot after the beach. It took over five hours to receive fresh towels after requesting them. The hairdryer was very weak, and the alarm clock was unusable and was also the only place with USB ports. There were no privacy curtains, only blackout curtains. On our last day, even though we had a confirmed late checkout, staff knocked loudly twice before our checkout time, which was very uncomfortable. Overall, the hotel has potential, but cleanliness and communication need significant improvement.

Had a different hotel first. Found bed bugs. Immediately found this hotel. Great ratings. Bought the last room. Drove straight here and checked in within 10 minutes. Clean rooms. Walking distance from everything. Awesome hotel.

We had stayed at this property before but this was not a good experience. There were so many issues. First room smelled like smoke. They had no problems moving us to another room. But then this room had problems with the shower head. It kept breaking. Couldn't control the temperature. And at one point could not turn the shower off. The staff was great with trying to fix it. They had to come by several times. Then the toilet back filled. they fixed it and the next day it was backing up. These are things you shouldn't have to worry about on vacation.

Our room overlooked the pool and beach. Very nice view. The poor was loud but that’s expected with kids having fun just something to be mindful of. Breakfast was way overcrowded, I’d recommend they enlarge the room and have at least 2 or 3 people tending it. All the juice, and water was out there was no serving utensil for the potatoes, then not enough seating room for everyone to sit and eat.

Hotel is a bit outdated but in good condition….good location on the beachfront and short distances to many restaurants….a grocery store is within walking distance…parking was abundant…staff was very friendly….rooms are a bit outdated but were clean…carpet in room was in dire need of a cleaning….overall, I would definitely stay at this hotel again…rates were very reasonable for the area and breakfast was very adequate

The receptionist was courteous and efficiently checked us in. The room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed. With the beachfront location, a beautiful sunset walk on the strand made our stay just perfect. Breakfast was also good. This place is highly recommended.
