It required a lot of steps to access the front desk and the breakfast area. While the outside ramp was useful for the front desk, it was no help with the breakfast area. (My wife has a bad hip and needs a cane.) The location was excellent and Grassmarket Park was lovely.

This was our first time at this hotel. The views of the castle from our room were spectacular! The pool was fantastic for the kids and great way to break up a day of sightseeing. The service we received from the front desk was fantastic; they gave us everything we needed whether it was bringing us milk for our tea in our room or stuff for the kids. Alistar as well as another lady with glasses and light hair( I didn't catch her name ) made our stay enjoyable , we will stay here again.
