Property is not located right off of the water. And in June, due to extreme number of mosquitoes, we couldn’t enjoy the lake at all. Hotel was dates but clean. Breakfast was great.

Very nice and quiet location closed to the lake. Included Bavarian breakfast buffet is amazing. Big room, lake view, very clean, and warm staff. Careful with opening balcony door or mosquitoa will invade and disturb your sleep. Area has a lot of trails to walk around, specially nice path near lake which is fully walkable around the lake. Downside is that restaurants.are very limited, only one good one to the other hotel facing this hotel. I suggest visiting Starnberg for more options. Public transport also required 10-15 minute walk to reach nearest bus, which have a steep slope.

The property was fine. The room was large and convenient for our family of four but everything is very old and outdated. Plus points for the food, which was absolutely excellent. Service- ok. Not the friendliest staff and yes, compared to an average German location. Ridiculous that you have to pay 15 euros for lost keys. They also don’t let you know upon checkin so that was an unpleasant surprise. Sauna is small and you have to book in advance Overall it was fine but I expected nicer facilities and room for the price!!

Gunstig geprijsd, goed hotel in mooie omgeving

Hotel Schloss Berg is een prima hotel naar 80er jaren standaard. Vriendelijke receptie, strenger management. Schoon, ruime kamer, prima bedden, ruime badkamer. Maar ook redelijk gehorig. WiFi is onbeveiligd en heeft in de kamers een minder bereik. Het ontbijt verdient een 9+, tenzij dat kwam omdat er een conferentie gehouden werd. Helaas was op de dag van ons bezoek het restaurant gesloten, dus qua dineren moesten we naar het Strandhotel Berg, waar men een andere prijs/kwaliteit standaard hanteert. Hotel Schloss Berg ligt op loopafstand van de plek waar Koning Ludwig II dood in het water is aangetroffen.
