I interacted with various staff members, they were all super polite and attentive. The cleaning staff kept the linens clean, but the bathroom floor could have used some more attention before I arrived to check in. This is a bargain price so I can't complain about lots of road noise or cheap mattresses. Overall if you're tight on a budget, this is a good place.

It’s an older hotel and it’s one of the safer, lower cost options in town. Know that before you start judging this place too hard. No frills, but it’s a roof over head, and a place to sleep with a clean shower. The mattress was hard, but again, I just needed a place to sleep while my father is at one of the local hospitals. Plenty of food options within walking distance (but maybe drive there instead). Staff is always pleasant and I will likely stay here again (this is my third stay)

This is an older building, and while it is well maintained and clean, guests should not expect a high end lodging experience. There is parking, but large and/or long vehicles may find it difficult to drive around from the entrance to the parking in back. The pool is lovely. Most rooms have a fair amount of road noise, plus the airport flight patterns affect all lodging in the area. Staff has always treated me very well. I like the location for access to Liberty Station, Cabrillo National Monument and Tide Pools, Mission Beach, and 3 grocers nearby. There is an abundance of restaurants all around, but I bring or purchase my foods rather than eat at restaurants.
