Hotel is new refurbished and well located if you need to be around Paddington. Did not sleep much due to the heating being on max, was 30 degrees in the room all night. Opening the window only helped slightly, the heating couldn’t be adjusted and A/C was turned off. Other than not sleeping a good stay.

The hotel is beautifully decorated, thoughtfully preserving its historic character while offering modern comforts. Unfortunately, there was a significant issue with the hot water: we had ice-cold showers on two days and only barely lukewarm water on the third. While the staff were apologetic, there did not seem to be a strong sense of urgency or concern about resolving the problem, which detracted from what would otherwise have been a very pleasant stay.
