Need to advertise closure of restaurant.

I booked for our wedding anniversary because we had been there before and it was great. This time the restaurant and bar was closed. We’re not told that when booking and weren’t told when we arrived. Just would have been nice to know for planning. We would have stayed somewhere else if we knew. So when it came to dinner time we ended up with pizza delivery.

The pool is green and has resulted In ear infections both husband and son currently in hospital getting treated. Xmas eve we had people partying until 4am and no one from reception answered calls for complaints. This was great timing as Santa found hard to come!!

This property is very over priced and over rated it is so run down, we were severely disappointed especially as someone who stayed there many years ago and was nice place. The pool was green even after it was “fixed” they shouldn’t have allowed people swim in it, breakfast was decent. When we arrived there was no a/c or tv remotes anywhere, the restaurant wasn’t open the days we stayed there and the pool was out of action… the outside areas so in need of maintenance but the rooms were decent with the exception of the bathroom.

This property is in transition, from Seagull resort to Seahaven Resort. Rooms are excellent, property is rainforest like, no restaurant on Sunday. Quiet location away from the Strand. Would stay again.

There’s lots to love about the Seahaven and the remnants of its heyday as Seagulls remains, not least the gorgeous pool area and big restaurant deck. The included breakfast is a treat and has good variety of hot and cold options. The team are clearly working hard to renovate and the rooms inside are pretty nice although the bathrooms need a deep clean. I was surprised that there was no daily room makeup although that’s not a deal breaker. Watch this space, I think over the coming months it will see a lot of improvements and freshening up. For now it’s a lovely quiet option away from the bustle of the strand whilst still being on the beach with access to cafes.

Honest review: We booked here because the website showed very beautiful lush grounds and we wanted to take photos for my daughters formal. Upon arrival we noticed, fountains, weren't working, the grounds didn't display like the website. Not well kept. Room was clean and tidy. Beds were far too soft. It seems like they are going through a change of hands, hopefully it will get better.

For a family of two adults and three big teenage boys the included breakfast (and or the hot breakfast included for $8-10 extra per person) was good. Some mornings they don’t offer a cooked breakfast though! The staff overall couldn’t have done more to help us. The room was great for the price and we all had plenty of space. The big boys loved the gym. We ended up staying an extra night and will stay again when in Townsville!
