Easy property to get to from train station. Very clean and nice patio at back to relax in after long days exploring. Owner replied promptly when details needed for checkin and did not have England call source. Everything was okay, the decor in the room was nice, although perhaps a bit on the tired side. The whole thing felt a bit like supported living, with a very NHS hospital-style shared hallway and stairwell. Perhaps the feeling was exacerbated by not actually meeting anyone; it felt very cold. I think this might just be the new weirdness BnBs have become, sort of like room farms or something. There was certainly a lack of personal love to the whole thing. Bring back the strict old lady hosts and actual breakfasts!
