Breakfast was fresh and changed each day with a great view each morning as we sat outside on the rooftop. Beautiful beach is 2 minute walk away, Rooftop pool was a great way to relax. €200+/night for mold, fake eggs, and hostile service? Absolutely not. I’ve stayed in 40+ hotels across Europe and North America. Carvi Hotel was one of the worst price-to-quality ratios I’ve encountered. I rarely leave reviews, but this experienced left me with no choice but to WARN other travellers. The reality doesn’t match the photos. Our room had visible mold and rust in the shower, no bathroom ventilation, and filthy AC filters. By day three we were both feeling sick and checked out early. The breakfast was inedible. Eggs bulked with filler, instant coffee pretending to be fresh, sugary water instead of juice. We both got stomach aches. At this price, it’s insulting. Service was dismissive to hostile. One staff member was great. The rest gave eye rolls for simple requests like beach towels or purchasing a drink. We felt unwelcome from start to finish. Common areas reeked of industrial cleaner — more hospital than hotel. When I tried speaking with management, I was told no one was on-site and to “contact Expedia.” We’d booked four nights but left after three. To the owner: We saved for months for this trip. Your hotel didn’t just disappoint us — it soured our impression of Portugal. At over €200/night, travellers expect clean rooms, edible food, and basic respect. You’re currently failing on all three. Wake up. This isn’t personal — it’s a fair warning to other travellers.

We specifically picked this hotel as it advertised parking. On our very first day there we left to do laundry in our rental car and returned at 11am only to circle the parking lot for at least a half hour. If you plan on staying here don’t bring a car. The hotel is attached to a very popular public beach and nothing is available until late at night. Staff were rude when we asked if we could parking in the empty spots designated out front (see picture). On our second day we told the from desk that our shower leaked from the hand attachment and after 5 days no one came to fix it. The shower pressure was definitely an issue. They had problems with plumbing as we could hear the sink gurgle when you flushed the toilet and all they the night you could still hear this. Towel deposit for the beach was 20 euros cash and staff would not even give you an extra towel. Although the beach and walking paths are close just stay somewhere else and take the $4.50 train trolley that stops right there. Pictures make the hotel look new but it is far from that, infact there is a large derelict building with graffiti all over it next door.
Air conditioner only stays on when key is in the slot and leaks all over the deck.
