The staff was very helpful and kind. The bottles of waters at check-in were a nice touch. The linens were clean. The proximity to the bike trail was great. However, not a Hilton "feel" at all.
The property is dated and needs a lot of updates and overall maintenance. The biggest issue for us was the weird humidity and mildew smell that they tried to cover up with green tea essential oils. The room itself was hit or miss on cleanliness: mold in the shower caulking, dead bugs in the windowsills, thick dust, and stained carpet, walls and furniture. Deadbolt didn’t lock, we had to put a chair against the door for a minimal security measure.
Additionally, we weren’t told about any youth sporting tournaments. At 11pm on our 2nd night, our neighbors arrived and I woke up to my headboard shaking from children going wild in the next room. I reached out to the number provided for help but didn’t have a lot of success. Only one questionable elevator. The pool was overly cloudy with chemicals, not well maintained, and landscaping was overgrown. The mattresses were terrible. Only 1 waffle machine.
The staff was so nice though and brought linens for the sofa bed. Really, if they weren't so nice, we would have given less stars.
