We stayed with friends, I requested a down stairs room, unfortunately it was on the road side, therefore traffic noise was a problem early in the morning. The room was very hot.
It didn't spoil out stay, the staff were great.

Our room, which was in the main part of the hotel, was comfortable, clean and came with all the quirks of an old building - slopping floors and creaky boards. All part of the character.

Place is fantastic been here before but I have not stayed in a cosy room before nothing was wrong with this room 58 other than me being 6ft plus kept hitting my head due to be in the loft eves of the hotel will have to ask if all the cosy room s are like this as planning to come back again and again through work commitments

Was very disappointed with breakfast on our second day. First one was fine although the veggie bacon wss very overdone. Second day gave up after waiting 45 mins. Tried to just have toast as main didn't tiurn up. However no bread , no yoghurt either. Tables were not cleared , shame to say it but a shambles..
Everthing else about the stay was very good.

Lovely breakfast. We were put in their accessible ground floor room, but unfortunately it was quite noisy due to the outside door being slammed day and night.
Staff were lovely, and the cocktails were fabulous. Great location near to the city centre.

Amazing hotel in a great location. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the room was lovely - comfortable bed, nice little extras and an outdoor seating area. Happy hour was a bonus and everything was in short walking distance (including the train station). Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back.
