The staff at Rydges (reception, cleaning & restaurant) were professional, responsive, genuine and helpful.
The beds were comfortable.
The staff (& beds lol) are let down by managerial decisions that include:
- no balcony furniture
- charging guests for parking
- no blankets on the beds (extra fees apply)
- no toilet brushes, single ply toilet paper
- bad repair work on deck pool, limited sun umbrellas
- scratched and worn paint work
- charging guests to use their room's safe
These decisions are about putting profit over reputation, and as a result Rydges will lose out on guests coming back in future trips (me for instance).
Smart managers make better decisions.
Tip - don't opt out of cleaning your room on a Saturday.
