Fantastic beach

This was the second hotel we stayed at. Fantastic beach and pool area. Good value for money. Staff very nice except at Gizmos Bar. Easy to get taxis and get around the island. Property a little bit tired but overall would recommend.

Staff saved the day

When we arrived for the stay we booked about 5 months previously, and was confirmed by hotels.com and about which we got our stay reminders, we learned that our reservation had been cancelled by the booking company. There was no record of our reservation at all. However, the front desk staff was very accommodating and placed us notwithstanding. The hotel was very busy and appears to be a popular choice for travelers planning to depart from the nearby cruise ship port. Very pleasant staff.

Rooms with a view, find food elsewhere.

A great location with beautiful views. We loved our room and the balcony, part of the newer building on site. The only negative was the food, a quick lunch was easily 2+hrs every time. Staff was always overwhelmed, running around frantically, understaffed, short on silverware, running out of napkins etc etc. Despite simple menus nothing came out at a reasonable time from any of the restaurants, often cold, overcooked or clearly reheated and dry. The drinks were mostly mix but still tasted good. We would have loved this place even more if the food was up to the standards implied and not extremely overpriced for the quality.

Staff were the best here. We loved Lew, Orane, Pierre, and of course Gilberto down at Gizmo’s. Everyone was so nice and personable. Food was great, room was very good condition.

The Oceans section required lots of up and down since I didn’t want to take the shuttle. The restaurants were very good but they said to get reservations online which weren’t available even though the restaurants weren’t full. I tried to get a sub sandwich in the cafe for 3 days but it was never available. The breakfast buffet omelette station was excellent. Parking was easy and a rental car is necessary if you want to explore the island.

The views from the resort are spectacular! The food is amazing, and every single resort employee is friendly. The parrot, Gizmo, hangs out around the beach bar and the Mexican restaurant and will say hello and ask for a cracker. Such an awesome resort. Highly recommend! I can’t wait to come back again!
