The check-in processes required to fill up a form online in front of the front desk, which is really redundant as I am there with my ID in the front desk so why do I need to do it online? The mattress and pillows were very uncomfortable, the TV wasn’t working properly and it was blurry and felt like the antenna wasn’t connected properly to the TV. There is a weird process that you need to collect the garbage and the linen and put it into a chute in the hallway before checkout.

Great location and friendly staff, but unbearably hot room. We knew ahead of time and brought 2 fans from home, but still uncomfortable (mid 80s at beginning of April). Not enough storage for items. No screens on the windows that we needed to keep open for some kind of air flow (thank goodness no bugs yet). Very odd smell in room from cleaning products we assume. If looking for a suite for bigger family on a budget, it is a safe (loud) area, but we won't stay here on our next DC trip.

Check in was rated lower bc of miscommunication with Hotels.com, but it was resolved and they took GREAT care of us after that. Due to the age of the Hotel, they have a 2 pipe water system for hvac. It was still on heat(winter) mode. We had 2 days over 80°, but they gave us fans and allowed for them to be put in window which helped. We were only notified by text message the day of arrival. Just a heads up to check that beforehand if it might be an issue for you. Overall, we would definitely stay there again depending on itinerary of the trip because it was quite a walk to downtown, but definitely doable.

Room itself was fine but the staff and overall experience was awful. Upon arrival we were told our car ‘would not fit’ in the car park. The receptionist did not offer an alternative parking locating so we ended up driving around central DC looking for overnight public parking. Furthermore, I had to upload my passport and personal details to an online portal in order to check in. This was a time consuming and cumbersome process and leaves the actual receptionist utterly redundant, as I had to do the entire process myself on my phone. Awful service, genuinely felt like they had no interest in repeat custom.

I loved the whole setup of the hotel. It was in a quiet, convenient location. The staff was very courteous. The room was clean and well stocked. They provided dishes and the kitchen appliances were clean and all working. Didn't get a chance to check out the gym, but will definitely stay here again.
