Don't be fooled by the pictures online. This place looks nothing like the pictures. They really need to just demolish and rebuild it. Even though the floors in our room looked clean, they were actually very dirty. The rest of the room was ok, but still a disappointment after seeing the pictures they post online. Just be aware that it really is not a nice place. Would I ever stay there again, NO!!!!!

The staff was very courteous and kind at check-in. The room seemed to be pretty clean. I didn't have any major issues while there except the toilet wanted to continue running at times. It would be a little loud sometimes in the evenings with people coming and going. I didn't necessarily feel unsafe, but I did note that it was difficult to lock the deadbolt. If I was on a budget, I would definitely come back.

I recently stayed at El Caribe Hotel & Conference Center, and I have very mixed feelings about the experience. The location is absolutely beautiful. As soon as you walk into the room, the ocean view truly takes your breath away. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves was incredibly peaceful and easily the highlight of the stay. Unfortunately, while the room looks nice at first glance, the cleanliness was a major issue. The bathroom was so dingy that I didn’t feel comfortable showering during my entire stay—my husband felt the same way. The toilet ran all night, which made it hard to relax, and the bed sheets were dirty. We usually bring our own sheets, so it wasn’t a huge inconvenience for us personally, but it’s still unacceptable and honestly pretty gross. I do want to say that the staff was very friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. It’s clear that the hotel has so much potential. With some serious updates and better housekeeping, this place could be amazing. Overall, the location and views are incredible, but the condition and cleanliness of the hotel really take away from the experience. Great spot, but not-so-great stay.
