Well designed and maintained property, combining old and new, with relaxed vibe. It is in an atmospheric location in riverside marshes. The food and staff were great. Very dog friendly.

My best friend and I stayed for one night for her 60th birthday. We arrived around 3.15pm and had a lovely walk around the local area followed by drinks before a delicious meal in the restaurant. The staff were excellent and really made our stay. Nothing was too much trouble and were so welcoming and positive with their attitude and energy. Thank you!

8/10 Very good

The stay was very nice. Away from the pub/restaurant which means its very quiet. The free breakfast was very nice, huge choice. Room was very simple but comfortable.

This 500 year old pub is an absolute delight. Perfectly adapted to modern needs. I can’t remember a hotel stay where the staff were friendlier or more helpful. The accommodation, in the modernised stable block, is perfect for a comfortable stay, and both our evening meal and breakfast were of the highest quality. Strongly recommended.

Great Place at the end of the road

Staff were fantastic could not do enough for you, food was very good, only slight issue the window in the bedroom door needs a curtain to stop the security light coming in to the room at night.

A real gem

A real gem. Superb setting and a welcoming sight. The Inn, staff, service and accommodation were excellent. Chose the Inn as we were visiting family locally. Obviously a great deal of time and money spent on developing such a lovely property. I cannot recommend it more highly. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Little corner of heaven

What a little gem. From the moment we booked in everyone was so kind and helpful. Our room was The Kestrel. The room was large, very clean, warm had a decent sized smart tv. A lovely bath room with under floor heating a double sized walk in shower, with toiletries and soft towels. We had our evening meal and breakfast there and both meals were delicious and hot. We can’t wait to go back

Excellent find, tucked away

Warm welcome, arriving just a few minutes before the kitchen closed was no problem and a lovely meal was promptly served. Location is very quiet so a good nights sleep. Room looked very new and was well appointed. Good quality monsoon shower over bath. EXCELLENT breakfast - when does thick slice bacon become gammon?? This must have been borderline, it was superb!

First time iv gone in a B&B without the need to disinfect and wipe furniture down! The room was excellent, just big enough had all you needed. And staff was happy to give me extra milk and tea ect ( we drink lors of it ) We didnt need to ask fir extra pillowsas pillows were lovely and plump, we had an accessible room, lovely big wet room, a slope up to the door. The breakfast options were extremly generous portions, as was lunch, and evening meals, toast and sandwiches are doorstep thick, i loved it! It was to much for my 91 year old mum lol but she made a good effort. We would go back again. Definitely recommend a break here, we didnt want to leave. 😊🙌.

FERRY BOAT INN NORTH FAMBRIDGE ESSEX IT WAS THE UNIQUENESS OF THE PROPERTY HOW OLD IT WAS, THE FOUNDATIONS OR PART OF THE BUILD OF THE PROPERTY WAS FROM THE TUDOR PERIOD OR THERE ABOUTS. THE SHOWER DRAINER WAS TANGLED UP WITH GUNGE WITH HOLIDAYMAKERS BODY HAIR AND GUESTS BODY PARTICLES WHICH WAS VERY UNPLEASANT. APART FROM THAT THE TWIN ROOM WAS OKAY BUT WE WERE SWITCHING THE HEATING ON AND OFF AND WE COULD HERE THE BOILER IN THE EARLY HOURS. THE BOILER STOPPED EVENTUALLY LATE IN THE NIGHT. ALSO THERE WAS KITCHEN NOISE FROM THE PUB KITCHEN IN THE EARLY HOURS. WE ARE LIGHT SLEEPERS SLIGHT NOISE WOULD KEEP US AWAKE. APART FROM THAT IT WAS LATER ON IN THE EVENING AFTER CUSTOMERS HAD LEFT MUCH QUITTER TRANQUIL AND LOVELY GARDENS WAS LOVELY TO STAY I WOULD RECOMMEND IT APART FROM SOME GOOD POINTS AND BAD POINTS. THE WAS BRILLIANT THE ONION RINGS WERE GREASY AND TO BIG NOT NICE CHIPS WERE NOT NICE MY SISTER AND MYSELF SHOULD’HV HAD A MEAL BTW US.
