We spent 5 nights at Edgewater beach and golf resort. The villas are just a short boardwalk away from the beach. The resort has a convenience store with Starbucks coffee, ice cream, beach essentials and other necessities. There is a restaurant and a bar. The property is quite old but very spacious. As a family of 5 we really appreciated the extra room. My only suggestion for improvement would be to get rid of carpet. Thank you Edgewater!!!

We enjoyed the stay ! The tram people was supper nice to us and came to us everytime we needed them ! The room was nice . The only problem we had was the air conditioning wasn’t working in one room . We called and asked to get it fixed and no one would ever show up . And the laundry room doors was off the henge. When we got there my husband tried to open the door and it fell on top of his head . The overall stay wasn’t bad at all . I would definitely go back

Clean and cozy...

The whole process was pleasantly seamless - before, during, and after my stay. I stayed in a Villa managed by Southern Vacation Rentals. They were professional, kind, patient, and proactive with communication. Although you're dealing with different reps each time you call or write they track and monitor progress so you don’t have to repeat yourself. Gentle reminders were sent when I forgot to complete a registration step. Resort is on several acres, a few 4-6 story towers along the beach (gated entry), several villas across the street, Front Beach Road. A footbridge connects the gated properties. Brightly lit, clean, and safe. Staff in golf carts stop at Tram stops to.drive you around and across the properties..to amenities incl beach and pools. Villas are dated outside but have modern upgrades inside, no old house stench at all. This is not high end like the Ritz Carlton, its comfortable like LaQuinta or Courtyard Marriott. I took off one star because there was a stain on the living room drapes (they had been washed) and 1-2 slight rips around the grommets on some of the drapes in the bedrooms. Not really noticeble. I recommend and would return. Great value and hospitality offered.

I really wanted to like my stay and it wasn’t overall a terrible place. they just missed the mark big time in areas. the resort is beautiful and well played out in my opinion. our view over the pond from our balcony was awesome and my kids enjoyed watching the turtles and fish. very shortly after arriving and unloading the car we realized the bottom of my kids feet were almost black. then realized ours were as well. that’s when we realized the floor had not been actually cleaned in quite some time. it was more dirt than just the group before us could make. we had to go buy groceries for our stay anyway so since it was so bad i purchased a swiffer and cleaned all the floors myself. as the night went on and we did baths for the kids and spent more time in the room we realized similar cleanliness problems as well. the shower liner had visible mold on it, the bath tub itself needed to be cleaned of soap scum before i could put my kids in it. I reached out to souther vacation rentals to file a complaint. Communicating with them was fairly easy and i was happy about that. i told them i purchased and swiffer and that i spent half of my first day of the stay cleaning. they offered to send house keeping out to clean the room. i had already done that so i said no thank you but if you would like to compensate me for the cleaning items and for the loss of my time that i would gladly accept. they agreed to refund me 25$ for a swiffer. so maybe i just got a bad villa. who knows

Great place! There were a couple of things that need to be fix but nothing that was an inconvenience. The place was nice and clean and the location was excellent. Getting to the beach and pool was an easy walk or even ride on the tram that is available. The location of the property is also very close to so many places for groceries, food, and shopping. Would definitely stay here again!
