Amazing location, undergoing renovations.

The location of Hotel Zum Ritter was amazing, the very best in old town Heidelberg!! The price was also good so we were able to look past the shortcomings because it was undergoing renovations and was still not 100% in their accommodations. Staff was minimal but the staff who were there were great. Room could have been cleaner and better prepared for our arrival (hair on the bathroom floor and an empty tissue box). Overall, a very good experience for us though!

Very nice hotel in the best location of the city. You are at the doorstep of the old town you really can’t get a better location. Even though it’s in the heart of the old town, it’s very quiet in the rooms, which were also nice. Bed was comfortable and the accommodation were great. Front desk staff very friendly. It’s an old hotel but that’s part of the charm. Like most places in Germany there is no air conditioning in the individual rooms (so don’t complain - this is common here) but the man at the front desk offered me a fan as I was staying on the top floor room. It was 33 degrees last weekend so it was very hot but the view from my window was amazing and it was conveniently close to the hiking path I travelled there for. Comfortable bed. Will definitely stay again :)
