It's a bit difficult to describe our stay. We expected a high quality experience. But from the moment we stepped onto the property we were shocked.
* Waited 1/2 hr in line to check in. The treated rudely.
* Given the wrong directions to the elevator to our room
(twice) by staff. Sent on a wild chase to find them.
*The entire floor where our room was located was under heavy construction. Hammering, dust, not even a path clear to our room. Seriously stained carpets
*Room had no, towels, no soap, holes in the wall, was clearly under construction still.
* door handle was not installed correctly. We left to talk to the manager, came back and our room was open????
*My brother got a different room and his door would not lock at all and had no wifi in the room.
*Premises were generally unkempt - or outdated. Elevator is pretty scary. Exterior doors don't close or lock.
* Blinking lights over our table during dinner in a dimly lit room. (They have ways of making you talk) :)
**Manager offered a free meal as compensation.** No other rooms available.
There was a medical equipment conference and when we checked out the gentleman in line in front of us was livid with the condition of his room as well. Perhaps he was on the same floor as we were? He was showing the lady at the front desk pictures of his room. Basically just pointed him towards the manager.
I gave them a 2 star on some things.
The manager seemed genuinely embarrassed.
Great restaurant nearby
Cool museum down the road
