Fantastic breakfast

Check in very good. Staff were efficient in getting us to our room. Room very small and low ceilings. Very hot the day we stayed and they provided us with a fan. Bathroom had a great shower. Breakfast was superb!

A nice surprise

Lovely restaurant in a super little village pub. Rooms were nice, but a couple of little oversights stop it getting a full 5 star review. Looking forward to my next stay.

Wonderful Experience

Restaurant and kitchen excellent, staff wonderful. Access to rooms a bit quirky, narrow staircase a bit of a challenge with two small dogs but the room was very nice and no additional charge for the dogs……as it should be in a pet friendly hotel. Plenty of space for walking the dogs around the village and beyond.

Would come again!

The bed was so comfortable! And the bathroom was a good size. Nice and quiet as well. Charlie who checked us in and looked after us was extremely friendly, kInd and very helpful when booking taxis for us. Breakfast was decent! Perfect before a wedding. Highly recommend, would come again and with our dog as it's very dog friendly!

8/10 Very good

Very pet friendly staff were super food was excellent. Bedroom was strange in the fact had a small wet room with loo which was not the cleanest and water puddled. Decor was tired and carpet worn. It’s an old building circa 17th c but has a modern twist with brightly coloured walls etc.. a little confused.

6/10 Good

Bar and restaurant along with staff are superb Unfortunately the cleanliness of the room and the “wet room” bathroom left a lot to be desired Previous guests drink stains over the bed side tables and main table along with toothpaste “splash” all down the tiles next to the sink Carpet wasn’t swept before either and the damp smell in the bathroom needs addressing Did advise management on the way out which got a small apology Real shame as was asked if I would recommend for a colleague who is currently staying 2-3 nights a week for work locally elsewhere

Friendly people. Redtaurant had excellent food. The room was nuce, except for the bathroom. The bathroom was all in one. No separate shower. The whole bathroom got wet when showering. Smelled musty and like mildew.

Very little storage space in room..no wardrobe..just hooks on wall with no coat hangers. Provision of fan was much appreciated as room was quite hot.

Overall a nice place to stay

The restaurant/bar was really modern and comfortable. The breakfast was great and plenty of choice. The room was very nice although a little dark but coped. The down side was there was no hot water for a shower either in the morning or evening. The other thing missing was biscuits to go with the drinks and our tea bags was never replenished so went without. We could have gone downstairs and asked them to be replaced but other places we have stayed at they are replenished daily. The positive though is that ‘real’ was offered instead of UHT 👍
