This was the best luxury, adults-only resort that I have been to in Mexico. The food was exquisite and did not taste like resort food. It was intimate and the staff was wonderful. If you can get their private boat from the Renaissance directly to the resort (and back), then stay here!

This is my first time writing a review but I felt the need to show what kind of impression this hotel had on me. I booked a weekend trip here for my wife's birthday and from the beginning the staff were extemely friendly and nice! They were very thoughtful with asking if there was a special occasion and I let them know it was for my wives birthday and they set up a cake in the room which surprised her and added a nice touch to the trip. The staff were wonderful, Amaury was the Bartender he put on an amazing Mezcal tasting which was fun and informative. He made my birthday special with a lovely cocktail. Special shoutout to Alan and a few others on the team who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Their hospitality truly made the difference. My wife and I needed a place to go where we could relax and be together. This adults only resort was just that. We slept well, enjoyed excellent food and service, and enjoyed the beach each day. This was only our second time at a resort like this but I can safely say that it is one of the best out there. People who are looking for a lot of activities may be disappointed in this resort as I found it was very quiet there. There was a volleyball net in the ocean And no one played once during the week. There are activities offered but they rarely run because most people are here just to relax. We did a couple of the activities and they were excellent, and one of them it was just us and the staff member. Hope to go back again soon!

We just returned from Almare. We chose the property because we were looking for a small resort feel rather than a large hotel feel. The resort is small, which hit the mark. The beach is small, but you can walk out into the water and see to the bottom. There are limited food choices. Alcohol choices are the best we have encountered for an all-inclusive. They have top shelf liquor to choose from. The service is impeccable! The resort is still being put together and polished. It will be an excellent resort when everything is truly ready.

I loved this location and will come back in the future. The staff went above and beyond even cooking the fish we caught daily. I only have a couple of recommendations and they are the following. 1. The beach bar closes at 5 which is way too early. All the fruity blender drinks are no longer served once it's closed and that was disheartening. 2. The lobby bar closes at 10:00, and you are left with no other options for night caps.

The resort had a good layout and the space felt open and was really well designed compared to other resorts. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The vibe is really chill. Not a party resort vibe. The food was fantastic. Almost upscale dining level. Even the service was great. Personally I didn’t mind only having 1 or 2 restaurant options for each meal but I can see how that could be a bummer for some. Drinks were great although inconsistent in quality depending which bar you order from. Activities were cool and felt creative. Did a sunrise walking tour of the island where we walked a portion of the island coast and saw a bunch of sea turtles. There was a cool cooking class. And dancing which we missed. There were many guests when we were there which was nice but it would be nice if it felt a small bit busier and a bit livelier. Unfortunately we noticed someone went through our things in our room on the second day and had stolen a small amount of cash, about 600 pesos and 30 Canadian Dollars (not enough to be worth getting upset about and ruining the trip so we just let it go). We think it was likely housekeeping, but I guess impossible to know for sure. In hind sight we should have put it in the safe. Lastly it’s a great little boutique resort to relax for a few days. The food is much better than your average resort but less options. You may be repeating dishes if you are there for more than 5 days.

Pro’s: Shoutout to David and Captain eddy and the whole staff for making my stay the best. The staff accommodated my wife’s Birthday with an in-room balloon greeting, a private sectioned off dinner on the room and ofcourse David my favorite bartender with the best drink mixes. I loved the tequila tasting night and doing activities with experience coordinators. Cons: 1) food: the food with midtier. I loved the rooftop food the best due to it’s comfort food menu. I advise increase the shrimp options on menu, 2) jacquee should definitely be advertised as part of the spa and something you would have to pay for. I think all hotels need an indoor option for rainy days 3) online the rooms all look the same with different views. When in reality the smaller rooms has jacquees while my bigger room had a smaller tub. It would be great if you can update the room pictures to accurately reflect. Overall 9.5/10. Will come back soon

This was my first time at an all-inclusive resort. I want to thank the staff for an exceptional stay at Almare. Jose and Jorge provided a fun boat ride to Isla Mujeres. Edgar checked us in and showed us around and offered a welcome drink. Bryan and Julian at the front desk were always friendly and helpful. Being on the beach was of primary interest and I want to especially recognize Karen for her friendliness and taking the time to speak Spanish with me. She made great food and drink recommendations. She and Alejandro made us both feel so cared for. Reyes provided so many memorable activities. He added a kayak trip that was a highlight for my daughter and me. Seeing a sea turtle was special. Istak took us on a sunrise walk that I loved. The mescal, salsa and chocolate experiences were amazing. The chef, Carlos Vega deserves high praise. All the food was beautiful and delicious. Every waiter made us feel welcome and served use well; Renaldo, Barulio and Hector. The drinks were delightful. The tasteful decor and tranquility of Almare I valued. Not a single person was anything but kind and welcoming. Almare Resort staff and leadership should be commended. Every aspect was five star. I recommend this resort for anyone wishing a tranquil beach get away with terrific food.
