If you have a dog make sure they don't put you in a room with an adjoining door to the next room. The first night was fine, no one was next door. The 2nd night they put someone in there who had a dog.? No barking but movement throughout the night was not great.

First room we were placed in had a heavy odor and the entire floor had a heavy marijuana smell. Relocated to a poorly cleaned room. Comforter had stains and holes, towels were also stained. Room was not properly stocked either. Housekeeping never tended to room at any point during a multi day stay. Front desk did their best to accommodate however unhappy with condition of room.

Walking in the lobby there was an odor of cigarettes. The staff was friendly and efficient upon check in. The room smelled heavily of paint or some chemical. I asked to switch rooms but the hotel was fully booked so the front desk staff sprayed some air freshener in the room. It didn’t help, actually made it worse. I had to go to Walmart and buy a fan and air sanitizer. The microwave was disgusting and there was some liquid stain dripping down the room door. So much for IHG cleanliness guarantee. There were also no spoons in the room so in the morning I went down to ask for some and there was no one at the front desk. I waited an hour and a half in the lobby for someone to come before I went to the hotel next door and asked for some plastic spoons. I expected a whole lot more for $185/night, and there was no offer to make it right or even a partial refund for the major inconveniences.

Gym was nice. I don't like to complain, but when i booked this hotel i thought i was in good hands because i worked at the candlewood in chesapeake va as a supervisor inspector and we was in the top 5 for cleanness and we made sure everything works properly in the room and was up to part before renting a room to anyone. 1. Both phones didn't work in room... 2. Sofa bed have stains on the bed cover,but luckily i brought a back up blow up mattress...3. The main bed had big holes in the blankets both of them, but the sheets was fine...4. Ants was in windows and on dresser, but i brought bug spray so i really didnt complain...5. No ice machine or access to ice in room...6. Shower was stopped up but, maintenance did come fixed it, but the housekeeper should've reported it when she cleaned the tub.(She must don't use water to clean) also 1 roll of toilet paper, 2 towels 2 hand towels 2 wash cloths in a sweep with 3 adults...7. Dishes was left in dish washer which suppose to be put up so guest can see them without having to search. Food stains on cabinets. Im a very clean person i even stripped everything in my room before i left and gathered up all the trash and dirty linen to make it easy for the housekeeper even thoughy she was knocking on the door at 10:12 and i had a 12:30 checkout but technically u dont suppose to knock before 11 but thats another story. Just do better for the next guest. Have a great day
