This hotel has the potential to be a delightful gem, but it requires some updating and more splashes of color. The room was boring plus some things didn't work (e.g., the bathroom door didn't fully close). I love that this historic place is still in use.

The frontdesk Spanish speaking person was great and friendly. We also loved the old charm of the lobby and exterior of the inn. The decorated park was also very beautiful view. I would suggest that there are towells in the room before our arrival.

Room was better than last stay here. Sorry to see such a historic Inn, with so much potential, in the condition it's in. The free breakfast is non-existant. Toast, dry cereal, packs of oatmeal. We ate offsite.

If you enjoy history, this is a place for you

We enjoyed our stay at the Historic Clewiston Inn, albeit for one night. It's rich history could be felt from its decor and there was considerable effort to bring in some modern amenities like breakfast and satellite TV. Parking was limited, but overall, my family and I were happy to add to their historic presence.

Beautiful lobby area and the history is cool but our room was dirty with dead bugs on the floor. There were holes in the wall and where the outlets and cables were coming from the wall, nothing was attached right and falling out. Repairs needed for sure. We wouldnt mind staying again as long as housekeeping did a better job of cleaning and maintenance fixed issues in the room. Plus we could not get the tv to work properly.

The area the Inn was good. It was a historic building. Alot of simple upgrades could be done, doors sticking, new carpeting, and linens. It could do for a complete cleaning.

Common Courtesy is a must

I expect this building to be old but even or especially considering that, it is clean. I would suggest the beds be updated and hot water be easily accessible for us spoiled Americans. Curb appeal is important as it provides a first impression and the grounds should be cleaned of trash regularly. Customers checking in should be made aware the walls aren’t as thick as newer bldgs so use extra common courtesy.
