A true home away from home! A super comfortable, clean and interesting hotel, our hosts couldn't have been more helpful. Their love and knowledge of the local area was inspiring and supported by a fantastic art and photography display throughout the hotel. Great location to explore both locally and surrounds. This is a very reasonably priced hotel not too far from the train station and the town centre. The staff who greeted me seemed unmotivated. The room was clean and provided with good services such as a fridge, coffee, tea and hot chocolate, biscuits etc. which were left outside the door each day to maintain privacy. It was summer time and having a fan in the room was good. However,the room was at the back of the building and had a distinct smell of plumbing and dampness which wasn't pleasant.

I was really looking for a quiet weekend and the Edward Hotel provided just that. St John was an amazing host and had such great knowledge of the bus lines and how to get into the more touristy areas like the Cotswolds. Very helpful and accommodating. I thought the room was lovely. For a single room it was very spacious and clean. I absolutely loved it and would definitely recommend.

Home away from home

We had a lovely time at the hotel. Very homely but with a hotel feel the fridge and microwave is a real game changer old school charm with lots of English character quiet street and close to city centre so great location. Worth a visit if you haven’t been.
