Wow! What a magical place Edgewater is. I came to relax and as soon as i walked in I felt calm. The restaurant has fabulous food, from breakfast to dinner. Sitting outside up on the hill and looking down at the lake was my favourite. The grounds are just lovely. The staff were attentive and nothing was too much trouble. They even offered to carry my bags to my room. The walk around the lake was absolutely beautiful. I would highly recommend a stay here.

The new upgraded rooms are excellent. The property is on the lake for great walks and minutes away from the famous Wanaka tree in the lake. We stayed one night in a superior apartment. We were very happy with our accommodation choice. The apartment was one of the renovated ones. It was roomy and had a view onto the lake and really convenient parking right outside. The dining at the hotel was okay, although much better options in the town of Wanaka, about 20 minutes walk away.

Great place to stay. Staff was helpful and friendly, the location is outstanding and so is the property. Green grass from the property leading up to the lake where I took a swim. Beautiful landscaping, relaxing and calm. It’s an easy walk to the town center yet away from its hustle and bustle. I walked the trail along the lake, it was delightful. I’ll definitely come back.
