Over priced, needs updating. Bathroom shower head broken; Hot Tubs not working, and not enough chairs around the pool (July’25).
Great location and large sized rooms - that’s about it.

Our two bedroom suite was clean, comfortable, and the perfect size for our family of four. The kitchen and cookware allowed for us to easily make meals and when we did not feel like cooking restaurants were just steps away. The parking garage was heated and had plenty of space. I would for sure stay here again.

It was great place to stay for a few days. We stay places based on the pool and the picture of the pool was deceptive. It looked like we could swim laps and it was not big enough to do so.

Love Sun Peaks
A little confusing between directions to our suite in Residence rather than hotel. Would be easier to check in at Residence area for sure.

Everything was great, except when my daughter broke her arm and didn’t want to share the pull out couch with her sister, they wouldn’t give us an extra cot because of “safety” reasons. So she had to sleep on the floor.

We love Sun Peaks and we always enjoy the Grand with our kids. This time our expectations exceeded our experience unfortunately. We noticed that the hotel common areas and pool deck/pool water were not clean. And that the hotel needed some TLC. And a few other guests that we spoke with shared the same feedback with us.

Not a 4* and forget the +! Its a 3 with issues!
You enter through a very dirty, dusty, unvacuumed side entry. Get into an elevator with broken flooring, dirty walls and a non functional security system. You arrive to your floor and exit into another dusty unvacuumed hallway with dirty dishes stacked outside doorways. (the dirty dishes where still there the next day)
Upon entry to the unit. It smelled ... unused. floor was NOT clean as gravel and sand was visible on the carpet. Kitchen was about as tidy as my 15 yr old would leave it. (counters poorly wiped, stuff missing or put away "sorta")
Bedrooms had old beds! The kind of bed where you sleep in the trough on either side and never meet over the ridgeline down the middle. We checked in Thursday and left Monday. Our room was serviced once in that period. They made the bed and tidied, didn't vacuum and didn't clean the bathroom (toilet bowl stains remained the entire visit). The empty shampoo and conditioned containers were not replaced and the empty loo roll was not filled. (ladies bring your own shampoo and conditioner as the ones provided are single use for a couple!)
Clearly I wasn't pleased. We paid a premium for a 4*+ resort and got a solid 3* overpriced experience. its just not being maintained! you pay for parking in a parking garage full of dirt and dust from last winters gravel roads. 6 months to sweep up the dirt in the parking garage and its just not done.

Always love staying at the Residences. There are some things that are not as good but with staffing shortages, we understand. Cleanliness, particularly of the shower is one of them. The sink in the kitchen had a major leak. But otherwise, great stay.

Family vacay
We stayed 6 nights in a one bedroom suite and had an amazing stay! Plenty of room for the three of us our suite had all the amenities you would need for 6 nights and days. Even though the hotel was short staffed you wouldn’t have know it. The pool and hot tub area was perfect for relaxing and playing. We look forward to our next stay and will never forget the room number we stayed in.

We have enjoyed coming here for years. Two disappointments this time:
1. We were placed in room 1311 in the Residences, which is essentially on top of Morrissey pub and makes sleeping next to impossible. We asked to be moved but got NO response from the manager, which was very disappointing
2. Hot tub jets appear to be broken, in all the tubs. Not a big deal, but still not on par with prior experiences

Staff at checkin was friendly, 2 room suite is way, way over priced for what it is, they hosed us because there was a freestyle competition on the hill and availability was limited. Sun Peaks is a great hill, tons of terrain and friendly staff, sushi place is great, bring your cash and credit cards, food is more expensive than Whistler.
