The hotel was beautiful, from the grand feeling when you entered, through to the elegant furnishings. It felt luxurious. The bed was comfortable with great pillows (a problem most hotels tend to have for me). The staff were friendly and it was very clean. I will stay again and have already started recommending it.

The hotel was beautiful and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It's also in a great location within easy walking distance of the Richmond station and the Green/tourist areas. My only complaint is that if your room is on the lower level, you will hear a lot of noise from the main floor above. I was situated under the restaurant and heard lots of loud thumping (footsteps, chairs moving, etc.) late at night and early in the morning. That said, everything else about the property was fantastic.

Beautiful hotel in a great location. Inside decoration is classy and well maintained. Staff were all excellent. We had a Selwyn Room (407) - big enough for a night or two - but cosy. Nespresso & kettle in room and good choice of tea/coffee. Only 2 very small negatives - the sink tap in our room was very stiff to operate and my wife's breakfast (salmon and eggs on toast) was late in arriving and yet looked rushed (toast undercooked and salmon just piled in a corner of the plate). We would definitely return though.

Really enjoyed our stay. We only had a cabin room but it was sufficient for the 2 of us for the one night. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was yummy. I’m gluten free but there were many options for me. I’m not celiac but if you are there was sealed gluten free muesli as part of the buffet.
