Location is excellent - very close to train station. Staff was pleasant and efficient. Free breakfast was a plus. The room was very small. The hotel is dated. There is a small lift but we still had to go up a short flight of stairs to get to our room. It was fine for a shot stay.

Good location; good breakfast; good friendly customer service BUT the hotel is very tired, worse than a budget chain and there was no aircon which meant very little sleep in 30’C summer. I would recommend paying a little bit extra and staying somewhere else.

Nice old town hotel. Between 11-15 pm the hotel is closed so there is no possibility to leave the baggage.

Well, I have stayed there for 2 night and this is what I can say. Great location. Its is next to all tourists places, the train station is just 10 minutes away. Unfortunately, this is all I can say positive. The main concern is that the reception is opened only from 7 to 11am and from 3 to 7 pm. it means though that NOBODY WILL BE ON SITE all other time, and DOOR WILL BE LOCKED! Was your flight delayed? Was your train cancelled? you will be sleeping on a bench in a park. Also, this hotel has no AC. And no fan in room. It wasn't a problem in early October but it will be too hot in the room during summer. You will be given a room KEY! In 21st century! Real heavy metal key with a huge flat plastic sheet. You are welcome to fit in in a pocket... You will be able to listen and actively participate in your neighbors's life :) - wall are thin, you will be able to hear everything. The building is very old, rooms were not renovated for a while. Plastic sink and plastic shower are small and not that clean. Overall, this is good hostel rather than hotel.

Great budget location to stay in Innsbruck. 5 min walk from the railway station and close to the main shopping street. The hotel gives you a bus/tram pass valid for the duration of your stay and also valid for buses up to local skiing areas. Definitely recommend. (My third stay there in a year)

Room was tidy, but smelled like a smoker was the previous guest, however, this smell was very faint, and I only noticed it when I entered the room. Check in was very good. I arrived after reception closed, but after a phone call they put my key in a lockerbox.

Solo traveller in Innsbruck

Absolutely first class. Only needed a one night stay and found the Golden Crown on Hotels.com. Good price, very comfortable room, nice and cosy (it had been 5 degrees during the day), friendly staff, lovely breakfast. What more can i say other than i would have no hesitation in staying there again in the future.

Hotel Goldene Krone in Innsbruck boasts a fantastic location, making it easy to explore the city. The friendly and helpful staff were a highlight, always ready to assist us. However, the hotel itself has seen better days and feels a bit run down. The rooms were clean but outdated, and some facilities could use a refresh. Despite these issues, we appreciated the convenience and warmth of the staff. As a family of five, the stay was adequate, but with some renovations, it could be much better. Overall, it's a decent choice if you prioritize location and service over modern amenities.

Staff is in the hotel in certain time, so uncofotable. No hair dryer, no table, unstable lamp, not well drain in shower booth, a lot of noise outside the window all night Though I paid €350 for 2 nights.

Stayed in a single room for 3 nights in September. Very hot & stuffy room. The bathroom was very small although the shower was full size. Location was excellent, close to main station & easy walk to attractions. Breakfast was basic but very adequate. I was unlucky to get hotter than usual weather but I would not stay here during summer as there is no a/c.
