We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Melville Castle. Our 2 bedroom suite was spacious, frankly it was huge! We only wish we had more time! We ate at the restaurant. Food was good, but very pricey. They had paper menus which took away from the experience of an upscale restaurant. They charged for water, as well as the garlic butter or red wine for the steak and offered no bread. The sticky toffee pudding was good. Overall, the restaurant was just okay for the cost, but it was convenient. They have a lovely library bar which we enjoyed as well. The grounds are very nice, too.
