Although the room is in the Mantra on View hotel, it is independently owned and not part of the hotel, so you cannot get assistance from the hotel concierge.
Note that there is no luggage storage facility available.
Prior to checking in, we were asked for an additional deposit for cleaning fee, but were told on arrival that there will be no room cleaning for the 6 nights we were there because we were staying less than a week. We ended up having to buy some clean towels.
Check-in was difficult, we arrived at the agreed check-in time and there was no room key left for us. The contact person did not reply to calls or SMS for over an hour and we eventually had to contact Hotels.com to help us locate them.
The room is pretty standard. The beds were ok. There was a microwave. Apart from the check-in drama, the contact person was helpful in addressing our questions. One of the wardrobe doors was broken and doesn’t slide, the TV had no satellite channels, the door to the mini fridge cupboard was hard to close. One of the light switches was broken and swinging a bit dangerously loose. The safe was locked on arrival and we couldn’t be bothered reporting more issues so ended up just not using it. There is also no replenishing of amenities including toilet paper so you will need to buy more yourself.
Overall, this was a very average Airbnb located in a hotel but with none of the hotel’s amenities or services.
