Bizarrely expensive for a tiny room with damp stains on the walls, uncomfortable bed, and not even a particularly useful location. Unusual and inconvenient security system on the door. Whole place felt ratty and old. The only nice looking part is the front, so don’t be fooled by the photos of the big glass fronted bar!

Amazing support from the manager after I had a tyre blow out on the way up to daughter’s graduation. He literally took care of everything involved in getting my car picked up from the hotel after the AA dropped it off there, which helped me concentrate on the big day for my daughter and our family. Lovely, lovely man

The hotel smelt overwhelmingly of damp. The bathroom was covered in black mold, wallpaper was peeling from the walls, and the whole place was filthy. I genuinely did not want to stay, but with an early flight the next morning, I felt completely trapped. To make matters worse, the noise was unbelievable, with guests screaming and shouting until the early hours. Management did nothing to intervene. Absolutely appalling. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

One night stay for a concert. Hassan the Manage was extremely friendly and allocated us a family room with 2 double beds. He also registered my car on the parking website free of charge (although there is abundant free on-street parking outside the hotel). The hotel could do with a lick of paint here and there but was clean, tidy and perfectly functional.

The hotel is on a lovely leafy and peaceful street and is a nice old Victorian building. It’s a bit shabby otherwise sadly! We would be ok to stay here again though. Member of staff tried hard to please and was friendly. Lent us a hairdryer etc. Another plus for the location is walking distance to Lark Lane nice cafes and bars. We didn’t try the breakfast. On the 2nd morning there was no hot water. You can register your car to get free parking but there is free parking I think on the road anyway.

Not a very pleasant stay but it was cheap and fairly priced. The hotel was dark and generally grotty with a rabbit's-warren of corridors connecting the old building at the front with the 1970's-style flats at the back. There were some foul smells going on between floors and corridors. On arrival we were met by a lot of threatening No Parking signs in the car park at the rear of the property. We made our way past the industrial bins to the front of the building and the reception. The reception area looked like the owners had just moved out. The hotel manager arrived to greet us and he was friendly and polite. The room was ample but lacked some basic things like bedside lamps or spoons to make a drink. The location of the hotel is fantastic. Right opposite Sefton Park and just 5 mins from Lark Lane. The beds were comfortable and we had a quiet and peaceful nights sleep.

Lovely helpful staff - Muhammad and Hassan. They locked away my road bike and allowed us to check out late as well as giving us an upgrade to a suite. Room good and big modern bathroom. Just a walk from Lark Lane cafe and bars and across the road from beautiful Sefton Park.Didnt use any hotel amenities.

The bed was clean, bathroom clean but with tiles falling off wall, door less wardrobe full of dust, carpets very dusty in corners and the room ...hardly enough space for two thin people to pass each other., Anyne big/ fat would have no chance. Room 15 should be a single with a single bed for chrissakes. Nobody on reception or in sight to complain to when we left at 1030am. Never again and a ripoff for the price. Avoid.
