The hotel is quite charming, although to say its air conditioning is a bit hit and miss is an understatement. Also, we were told on check in there was coffee available on our floor. We were there 10 days and none was ever actually put out. The stuff to go in hot water was, but they never put out the actual water. At first they let us take coffee off the buffet in the morning, or made us some from the bar, but then started charging us. Didn’t sit well for something that was supposed to be free. The breakfast buffet is ok, but 20 pounds for cold food might be a bit much. The bar is very convenient, as most restaurants and pubs nearby stop food service very early, and it goes 24/7. The cleaning lady does a good job, our room was always spotless. I would highly recommend staying away from the nest room. We did it, knowing we would only be in the room to sleep, the pictures do not represent how small it actually is. It was nearly impossible for the two of us, who pack very light and are low maintenance. Also, no idea if the air conditioning is better or worse in other rooms. Ours would shut off in the middle of the night, and the bed would be soaked in sweat. We really did like the area it was in, convenient to numerous different things, but not too busy. Probably won’t be staying again though.
