Perfectly situated adjacent to Paddington and nearby Hyde Park. Redefines efficiency in the tiniest room, but you didn’t come to London to stay in the room did you? Elevator doesn’t go all the way up, might not be best accommodations for senior travelers.

Great location, clean & modern but very small room

Rooms are very small, I booked a double and the bed was undersized, it’s more of a cubicle than a room, cannot fault the cleanliness etc but the pictures don’t reflect the reality. In terms of location though it’s perfect, 2 minute walk from Paddington station & lots of places to eat & drink right outside, this is good as the hotel has no bar or restaurant

Good value(for London).Clean,modern. Good location

Check in and access is simple with the access codes. There is a front desk with helpful staff. My room was on the 4th floor. clean and modern. Very small room, some might say ‘cosy’. However it was very well equipped with fridge, coffee machine, hairdryer. Lots of outlets and usb charging points. The shower had great pressure. The shampoo/conditioner supplied was good quality and smelt great. The hotel is very close to Paddington station with multiple restaurants, cafes, bars within one block. I would stay at the Sonder again.

Not a hotel, false advertisement. The room is so small you can’t even comfortably have luggage in the room. Shower and hair dryer broken. Wouldn’t come back or recommend. Luckily we only stayed 1 night, but this is not an actual hotel so this should be advertised. There was no real check in/check out.

The address was #13 but I had to enter at #15, which was better as that is a staffed entrance, and the person at the desk was very helpful. My room was on the lower level, which I wasn't pleased about initially but it was actually super quiet, very comfortable and perfect for a short stay when not spending much time in the room. The shower was terrific as were the amenities, even though I could not figure out the coffee pod machine. I'd definitely stay here again.

I was satisfied with the location of the hotel, as well as the password access. My room was pretty small, but comfortable. Wouldn't recommend it for people who have a lot of luggage with them. There was a lack of plug stations in reachable places (i.e. near the kettle). My coffee machine also didn't work, so that wasn't great. Moreover, I would suggest they reconsider the placement of their soap and shampoo dispensers, since they make a small shower feel even smaller.

Avoid this hotel. The heat was broken in our room, so they moved us to a room where the heat worked but the shower didn’t drain and was unusable. It took four days to fix (4/5ths of our stay without a functioning shower!) The hotel would not give us a refund or reduction in the rate. Total crap. Never going back.

Avoid at all costs, pictures are completely misleading, upon arrival to my shoebox of a room I had to clear out the fridge as someone’s food was still in it, there was paint falling off the walls, the bathroom sink was stained, there was yellowing on the walls, the air con puffing out dust when turned on as it clearly hadnt been cleaned in a long time, the radiator thermostat fell off so when the heating was put on in the building full blast I couldn’t turn the radiator off, having your room convert to a sauna was an experience. I burned myself trying to fix it because there was no one on site maintenance wise to do so, then to top it off there was no hot water on the last night. Several guests complained about their rooms but couldn’t be relocated, our friend staying in a separate room left to stay in another hotel. The front desk staff were nice but that being the only positive from a £750 stay feels like I have been robbed, when notified off the above they have taken it as “additional learning”

Much room for improvement with maintenance

On the plus side: - excellent location for Paddington - Newly renovated - well priced - Nespresso machine in the room - staff were lovely - spotlessly clean On the downside: - bathroom door had either broken hinges or was catching on something as it made a noise like mound nails down a call board when opened or closed. Not ideal when the other person goes to the bathroom in the middle of the night - room was very warm and the window barely opened. When it was then opened it was a game of luck and physics to get it to balance just so so that it stayed open - due to the issues with the window, we turned the air conditioning on - which then proceeded to beep incessantly. When mentioning this is at checkout we were told that it was broken in all rooms and we should have been told not to use it. Such a shame that for somewhere that’s been so recently renovated there are so many small but very irritating issues.

Nice finish but poorly executed.

I was put in L03- lower ground. One window looked out to a narrow shaft with air con unit directly outside the window...so basically a fancy cave in the basement. - This meant nearly no natural daylight. - What's worse is there was no light switch inside the door. You had to enter in essentially pitch black, walk 10 feet in the room, fumble around a corner then shuffle down beside the bed and turn the light on the bedside light switch. That is a poor oversight. - The (seemingly new) coffee machine refused to work. - The kettle power lead was too short to actually reach the wall socket next to the table. You have to take the whole drawer unit/kettle combo and put it on the floor. Again, an oversight. It also meant the power socket has worked loose likely from other people trying to stretch it to get it to reach. - The door lock lost my code after 2 nights and wouldn't unlock either via code.or the app key. I had to report this to reception and then chase them a second time to get it fixed. Wouldn't stay again.

Pictures are very deceptive

My first room was on the second floor, but the micro-sized elevator only stopped between floors. That meant dragging luggage up narrow stairs. The room itself was so tiny I couldn’t even stretch my legs properly. On the plus side, the TV worked and there was a nice park view — but the noise and lack of space made it impossible to sleep. The second room was on the ground floor. It was still tiny, but at least the bed was bigger. Unfortunately, the TV was broken, the windows couldn’t be shut, and the noise from people partying in the park past 10 PM was extremely loud. The carpet in both rooms showed lots of stains, and there was no space to open a carry-on or luggage except on the bed. Neither room had size information listed, and in no way does this qualify as a 3.5-star hotel as advertised. At best, this is a 1 to 2-star property. The only positive: the staff were nice. Either room had no room size information listed And in no way this is a 3.5 stars hotel as listed More like a 1-star, 1.5 stars, or 2 stars top! The staff were nice

Clean but I’d not return

No prior warning biometrics are necessary. Walk up narrow uneven staircases as elevator only goes to 2 floor. Reception was friendly but utterly unhelpful. I 2as told “just go on up to your room” with no direction on how to get there. I had to ask. No offerto take my luggage up. Internet did not work well. Had to enter the code to my room several tiimes beffore it opened. Virtually no luggage storage if you arrive early or want to leave a bit later. Room was clean and cool and quiet but Iwould not stay again. It’s not considerately thought out and run operation. I was surprised it’s a Marriott property.

Very disappointed with room, not like the pictures. Bed against walls on three sides making it challenging to share, needing to climb over your bed mate to go to the bathroom. Lift to second floor only with very narrow steep stairs for remaining levels. Have to pay £25 to get the room serviced. We stayed for a week and it was embarrassing to have to ask the reception for toilet paper, on a number of days. Great location, half the staff were friendly but would not recommend this place.

The employees were all really nice and helpful. The room was clean and cozy. Really good bed, I often struggle to sleep elsewhere but I slept really well. Easy to get in with the code provided.
