The second most photographed house in Key West is a dream to stay in for the night, the weekend, or more. Lisa was very friendly and worked hard to make sure everyone felt welcome. Their daily happy hour is great on the outside patio. The neighborhood is not far from Duval and Mallory Square-both are must see evening locations. Judy Blume owns the bookstore across the street, so the K-12 teacher in my thought that was really cool.

Super cute B&B, with friendly helpful staff. Just a couple minute walk to the bars, restaurants, and shops of downtown Key West. Parking is not easy; free street parking is impossible to find and the recommended paid parking lot is a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Our room was vintage but comfortable, but had what we considered several tripping hazards. Overall, the stay was enjoyable and we would definitely come back again.

Absolutely the best spot if you want to be close to Duval. The staff are fantastic, the beds comfy and breakfast and happy hour are a very nice perk. We loved the soak pool at night. We’ll be back! Just a note- we stayed in the Sun Room and the stairs are steep. Didn’t bother us but it might be a challenge for some.

This property is truly amazing but what adds the extra star are the staff, Shawn made our holiday, could not do enough for us. The house is just beautiful and so much history and extremely central. Just a few things that would advise but doesn’t effect the overall place, 1) the room we were in was opposite checkin so can be a bit noisy at times 2) the light from the outside garden pool area is on all night and keeps the room very light at night. These didn’t bother us but may affect others

The Artist House is located within walking distances to many attractions, with friendly and helpful staff members. The interior decorations of the guest room and the outside dining area are impressive. One complaint I had during my stay was that my room was located on the second floor, accessible only via an outdoor staircase that is tall, steep, and narrow. This could pose a challenge on rainy days or for individuals who are not physically fit.

Darlene's 1st KW Visit

There are naturally challenges with a facility 134 years old and the owners have done a great job with this one -- decor was period correct and the amenities were excellent. Sophia was wonderful and a great addition to the property. Housekeeping was OK but not great. Bathroom wasn't cleaned well but the main bedroom was fine. Still left a tip for housekeeping though.
