I stayed at La Quinta Inn Decatur in December, and overall the stay was okay. It does look like the hotel has been renovated, which I appreciated.
That said, the cleanliness of our room was questionable. The door frame and several areas of the room looked like they needed fresh paint or touch-ups. The ceiling also appeared to have had water damage that had just been painted over.
When staying in a hotel, I expect the room to feel clean, fresh, and well-maintained. Unfortunately, between the worn paint and overall condition, it felt more “lived in” than it should have.
Additionally, the USB and USB-C charging ports in the room were not working, which was inconvenient.
I share this feedback in hopes it helps improve the experience for future guests.
