We spent 4 nights in this charming, small, and private hotel. Our room was one of the smaller ones but had a kitchenette and a newly renovated bathroom. Because it’s not open to the public it has a very intimate atmosphere. It is walking distance to many interesting things to do in Palm Springs. We parked our car (no charge) and only used it once to meet friends at a supper club and once to run an errand on the other side of town. I loved our private hot tub and used it every day. The staff is fantastic and we enjoyed meeting the manager, Joanie. What a lovely woman who was very professional and helpful. We can’t wait to go back next year.

This hotel is a wonderful retreat if you value privacy. The setting is beautiful and peaceful, with thoughtfully designed spaces that make it easy to relax and unwind and it’s conveniently walkable to shops, and restaurants.

Though our was a short trip, we really enjoyed the hospitality, room (Luna Hacienda) and outdoor areas of Talavera. Although the place was sold out, it was very chill (quiet). I only saw three other people there. Having two heated pools is super nice

Room was clean and staff great. The grounds were lovely. Check-in and out was easy. Walkable location. The hotel was quiet but a neighboring one had loud music we could still hear over the sound of our TV. Had a few annoying issues with the room. The refrigerator was noisy. Didn’t like there was no TV in bedroom and the remote was difficult to figure out to watch normal TV. The shower was open and had no door or curtain so water splashed onto the toilet and bathroom floor. It only had a rain shower head making it hard to shower without getting hair wet. They thankfully did provide a shower cap but would have preferred regular shower head. The bathroom had extremely minimal countertop space for toiletries for two people and no extra bath shelving to hold our items. Lighting not the best for applying makeup. Bathroom plumbing was loud. Bed frame squeaked when you simply adjusted sleeping positions and the floors were also squeaky.

The staff and amenities are wonderful, and the location is good. The bedding is comfortable, and the furniture in the sitting area of the room is good. But it is somewhat rustic, the bathroom sink area is very tight, the room is so full of furniture that it’s very tight also, and the property quality is really 2.5 stars (I used to have a job in the hotel industry that required me to assign star ratings). If you’re used to that quality level, it should work well for you, but given the price for the quality, the value is just not there.

We had an amazing 5 night stay at Talavera Palm Springs. The entire staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The housekeeping staff are incredibly professional and the grounds are like a Zen retreat. Amenities were excellent including coffee and cold drinks available night and day and well maintained bicycles to explore the surrounding neighborhoods. The property is on a quiet street but literally in the middle of the heart of Palm Springs. Our room was perfect with a large well-appointed bathroom, private patio with Jacuzzi, comfortable King bed, and great sofa and sitting area with TV. We cant wait to come back!
